The second item for the Fabulous Faeries collection is now released, and features the Faerie formerly known as Baelia! This item will only be available in June.

I'm always disappointed when they don't make contacts work for all eye types, and instead give a lot of pets just a different color tone over top of their entire eye area. This happens with the Buzz, Kacheek, Aisha and others.

Chadley's are the best contacts on the entire site for a reason, and they've never even been Dyeworksed.

I've been looking back at all the old Collectibles, and I've realized that there are very few of them I've actually liked or ever used, and yet I get the whole sets every month! Just in case the bonus is really good... and they mostly haven't been.
I think in future I will only buy the items I actually want, and trade for any bonuses that I "need"!

Ooof, I wont lie, these are very "items you find at an ingame shop" not a NC item. They look terrible on a lot of pets (Jubjub, Aisha, Techo, Buzz, ect.). The Jubjub one couldnt even take the eye shine into effect. Its a very uh.. cheap overlay layer, not work 250 nc let alone 50 nc.

(Also while I agree weird to use Baelia as the name, I guess its since their eyes are no longer that grey, it was easier to just go with their old identity (kind of weird, but its not unheard of in a fandom sense.) just odd to release them AFTER the change...)

these "color overlay" nc contacts have always been a thing and at least WERE popular like zenco's, pink lulu, roberta's, and armin's were...

that said.... all the contacts i listed existed before dyeworks were a thing.... so it is also just a lazy re-coloring of zenco's again... and a color very similar to the original armin contacts (meanwhile i just wish for a nice pair of BROWN zenco style contacts).

but i do like them. they just probably should have been a dyeworks item.

I *love* this style of contacts because they work with the eye that's already there, rather than covering it (and imo looking odd). It definitely would have been better as a dyeworks though.

Is it weird that I find it a little odd that they'd dedicate the month that many people celebrate Pride, where they have a Faerie themed collectible to get, to Baelia, instead of her new identity of Iridesia? They could have come up with a beautiful set of rainbow wings like theirs, or the rainbowy effect that Baelia had in her eyes right before transforming.
But instead they went with something.. dull. This would have worked far better when the Plot was just getting started, even as an NP item as other people point out.

@apophis324 An Iridesia Wig would have absolutely killed it. It just looks SO pretty, and would have fit much better considering the month of release + coincide with the latest chapter!

I like the contacts, they make the yellow of my lupe's eyes white. I hate the yellow lupe eyes lol.

@helovias that's exactly why I like them, but for the Draik. Contacts that do that are pretty uncommon.

+ a lot of the new ones that are like all fancy + make it white, are such a weird shape for their heads ^^' They mostly look cross eyed. But contacts like these look much better

Re: deadnaming Iridesia - it's possible they had this collection planned out prior to finishing the plot storyline, but I agree - just a weir choice, especially for Pride month. I hope they're getting backlash for this.

Where is the eyeshadow? Even Iridesia has the grey eyeshadow. These are really bad for the price and as a collectible. And, I haven't read the new chapter yet, it seems odd to be using Baelia for the name..

Maybe Iridesia is okay with both names, I'm not sure. Right now, having not read the new chapter, it seems like deadnaming and makes me feel uncomfortable. The poor styling (in my opinion) just makes things worse

If this was supposed to release before the change, they could just have easily renamed it to "Iridesia's old grey eyes" or something to not deadname her during frickin pride.
