Treasure Map Pieces Updated with Numbers

Some big item renaming news today: treasure map pieces all now include a piece number in their name, making it much easier to look up specific pieces you may need!

For example, the "Secret Laboratory Map" now has pieces named as:

  • Secret Laboratory Map 1
  • Secret Laboratory Map 2
  • Secret Laboratory Map 3
  • etc.

All 9 treasure maps (26th Birthday, Forgotten Shore, Petpet Laboratory, Scary Cave, Secret Laboratory, Space, Spooky, Underwater, and the Original) are all now numbered, 1 through 9.

This is excellent! It has always been a struggle for me trying to remember which pieces I'm searching for and having to compare them to the completed maps, while also hunting for the best price on the shop wiz. It also GREATLY aids in pricing map pieces in your shop.

Based on the editorial search, someone in Old TNT is not happy, though:
"As far as numbering treasure map pieces and the like, well, this is part of the fun... after all, no one numbers real treasure map pieces." - Neopian Times, Issue 341

It will be interesting to see how this affect prices.

I've had so many map pieces of several different kinds of maps in my shop for so long that I couldn't be bother to price because I hate checking every shop to see which is which. This is awesome!

Whoever thought it "wasn't fun" this way, they can just continue to search with the "containing my phrase" criteria, then The rest of us are happy!

This might be the best news I've ever heard...I could not STAND trying to find the pieces I needed in shops by just looking at the image, my GOSH. Also pricing them was a nightmare. Actually...I haven't priced map pieces for years LOL I have so many in my SDB, time to go in my shop haha

@usurpagreen they numbered them to match the image URLs. for all the maps except Petpet lab, this also matches their SDB order. for whatever reason, Petpet lab map piece image URLs have a different order than their SDB order *shrug*
