Lutari Day Roundup; Tongi Beads Made Tradeable

Happy Lutari Day! Here's what's new for our lutrine friends.



Strawberry

A Forest Mage outfit is stocking over at Cog's Togs.




A book is available at the Magical Bookshop.


Meanwhile, a loofah is available at the Grooming Parlour.


TNT have made the previously no-trade Tongi Beads for the Lutari Talisman tradeable...sort of! At the time of writing, they can be listed on the Trading Post, but cannot be placed into your Shop or listed on the Auction House.


TNT has also completed the HTML5 conversion on some previous pet day wearables as well, so they should now appear on your customisations again!


Lastly, a Pet Day mystery capsule is available at the NC Mall:

The cloak on the forest mage outfit looks very "1990's gradient" and not in a good way. The distortion on the mushrooms at the hem is also off-putting. The staff is odd, too.

Other than that everything for this pet day is quite good. I'm not a strawberry fan, but if I were that color is exceptionally well drawn here. Love several items from the cap. Really excited about the Tongi beads!!

Overall quite a successful Lutari Day.

wow, some actual clothing... too bad they're rendered so poorly... the cloak is so stiff like cardboard. and the staff is so weird... a spindly stick with two huge eggs just balancing on top? why even eggs? just make a normal staff...

the chill lutari is cool... but it also just makes me wish we got that wig and outfit and some green contacts like that for regular converted lutari...
but also why does he have teeth like that? XD i thought it was tyrannian at first.

Oh, dang it... I really need that surfer Lutari. It fits my guy so well. The sunglasses, wig and mouth even line up with it correctly! WHAT?!

Also, YAY! I can finally get my last Tongi Bead eventually!

despite never having met a Strawberry fan, i am happy for them that at least strawberry lutari looks kinda good.

I have a military surplus wool cloak from eastern europe. It does have slits you can stick your hand and arm through. So perhaps the yellow part would be visible in the way that it is if the hand was put through and curling around? But the shading under it would not be. It looks weird in any case.

Most of the strawberry flowers look like they are colorforms laid on top of a two-D image.

The artists think that lutaris are disney-chipmunks, apparently.

An actual outfit for a pet day? Neat!
Execution? ...not so great. The cape has multiple issues, and I wish they'd split the shirt/pants/gloves into 3 separate items. It wouldn't be hard since it's species specific!

And copy-paste-ness of the flowers aside, Strawberry is well done! I kinda wish they'd retroactively give other strawberries the additional items. c:

Also yay tongi beads! They'll be incredibly expensive I'm sure, but a great start!

To be honest, I kind of like the Lutari Forest Mage cloak. I don't mind its stiffness at all. What I wonder about though.. Why are the hands different? They're part of the outfit underneath, but.. why? The outfit doesn't change the head, feet or tail, so why change the hands? Was this borrowed from something else?

Strawberry is pretty alright. Not too busy (like some other fruit-flavoured pets). Could have done without the flowers, but at least the tail-accessory is removable.

That surfer.. Duuuude.. It must be based off of something or someone! Too bad the outfit doesn't really work without the surfboard and the surfboard (while non-species specific) doesn't really work on its own..

I'd call this a good Lutari day ^^

Love the color, I kinda don't mind the outfit? I don't understand why the pieces can't be separate (maybe they only commit to a certain number of pieces per pet day but I swear this hasn't been incredibly consistent)
I usually don't really care about capsule prizes/the species outfit in the capsule but the art is kinda cute ;;

@apophis324 - Thanks for checking on your end! Maybe mine is glitchy today. When I click on a gift box, it just tells me that I have nothing to send. There's no option to move it. I also tried with the quickstock option and it doesn't even show up on there. Oh well - another day, another glitch Not a big deal!

@samistarsyou just checking, did you toggle to the NC section of your quickstock? there's now a toggle there just like in the inventory.

I raised an eyebrow at first, but now I think it was a great idea to make the pet day cap outfit into a limited edition pet style istead. See: pet styles are species specific and nc items by default, and besides that, I think I've never seen someone actually use the previous, regular, outfits. Since they cover the whole body and don't leave much space to further customization, it's much better to make them straight out tokens with more personality.
I liked this surfer guy overall, just would prefer if the color of the claws was a bit lighter.
Happy for the beads too. It would be cool, though, if they were part of the stamp album instead of the talisman, which is useless in my opinion.
