Storytelling Competition Avatar Retroactive Awarding

Early this morning, TNT made a change to the "Storytelling Competition" avatar: it's now obtained by simply having a Storytelling Contest trophy, then viewing your own user lookup.


This avatar was originally released last September as a prize only for winners of every 5th Storytelling Competition moving forward from release, making it rare and difficult to unlock.

Now, anyone who has won at any time in the competition's history should be able to unlock it! It also effectively becomes a prize for all winners moving forward, regardless of round number.

A great injustice has finally been righted. The Storytelling Competition is probably the hardest writing contest on the site, and winning even just once is a huge achievement worthy of an avatar. Doesn't help that it's been cut to once a month, too.

Also worth mentioning, this is also justice for those who had won in other languages as well. I have a trophy from the Spanish version and I just got the avvie

Yea didn't they promise that by March the Art Gallery one would be retro-actively available as well? I can't seem to find that anymore but I thought they said March. It's the end of April, sooo, any day now, TNT! ^^ And then they did this one instead without a heads up at all(?), lol. Glad they did, though! I don't have the trophy but it's a nice change c:

I’m super glad TNT listened to the feedback (backlash) and made things right, congrats to all winners!
Site spotlight, userlookup of the week and gallery spotlight winners should be merged into a single category and be awarded the site spotlight avatar retroactively (for all three competitions had the same concept which was coding a page), that would be an amazing thing for TNT to do.
