Quick Stock Updated Again

The Quick Stock page has received a few updates based on feedback from its initial release.

The action headers now float down the page, so you can reference what each column means
There are now pagination options, with the default being 100 items (you can still only move 70 items max at a time)
Sorting options have been added, so you can view by when it was placed in your inventory, or by item name
You can also view items stacked or unstacked
NP and NC items are now viewed separately, to be consistent with your inventory

As with the initial update, the other quality of life updates, such as the addition of the Styling Chamber option and the single click to unmark an item remain.

It's still massively spaced out and requires wayyyy too much scrolling if you have any reasonable amount of different items.

And they removed the /x page entirely, so now my hub page is completely gone. And I hate that more than anything else they did.

Removed my Dailies tab, my Space Faerie Tab, the bank account tab, etc. Far too spread out, difficult to look at everything and know what is in your inventory. THIS NEEDS A REHAUL ALREADY.

They definitely took a step backward with the first iteration of the revamp, but this is definitely two steps forward. Like, holy smokes, I'm just happy to finally have NC and NP separated on the quickstock page, and the ability to sort alphabetically and stack items are nice as well.

Yes, they shouldn't have released the original revamp as it was, but it was not only fixed but actively improved within a couple days, and that's pretty neat.

I'm really hoping they give our SDBs an overhaul. They're too limited in what can be done regarding things like searching and categories.

Glad they fixed it but it seems like they're very out of touch with what features need in order to be functional.

Still miss the old page, but I also hate the beta layout, so... this is the best I can hope for unless I win mega huge in the lottery or something and can buy out neopets LOL

Hmm, I wonder if they are still working on it, since when I used the chamber option, it would just remain in my inventory, even when it said it moved. But I am glad for the chances and updates. TBH it took me forever to learn the double click with the old one, so the single unclick is nice imo.

sure they made improvements to the broken one..
but the old one was fine
I dont like the donate all/discard all button. I almost did that, and I was donating, and just clicking through the prompt almost.
Idk what spaghetti code *had* to be fixed but its probably never being communicated anyways to us. Bot accounts still take the high scores on a ton of games, etc. How about that MAJOR problem.
This was unnecessary.

This is a really nice change, and I'm glad that TNT quickly took the feedback and made it into a really slick and workable update. I just think they need more beta testers who can give this kind of feedback BEFORE they do this kind of complete roll out. Otherwise, I actually do like a lot of the little features they added, like stacked view, the adjustable number display, and NP/NC separation. It feels like an extension of the updated inventory page now.

It's hard to read. Like, it's BIG, but somehow difficult.
Maybe they're spaced too far apart vertically.
I don't know exactly what's wrong.
It's off somehow.

It's a lot better than before. The sticky header does jump/detach as soon as you start scrolling back up, which is a bit annoying, but at least it's functional.

Glad they improved it, and that the fix was quick. While I still feel the whole beta layout has some issues to be ironed out, it’s good to see they’re paying attention to such an important change.

I'm really impressed by how quickly they responded to the feedback and were able to turn it around into a mostly very usable interface. It's a huge relief to go to my quickstock and actually be able to use it as a quickstock again.

There are still a few things need to be ironed out, but I'm grateful they fixed it so quickly.

I like this one MUCH better. It even has some features that make it better than the original (I have way too much NC items so that separation along with the stack option are great for me)

I haven't checked item myself, but from this summary the updates sound like a significant improvement. Also lol at them putting the pages at 20 items first, to then increase it to 100 by default

The main issue that remains is the insane padding on the top and bottom of the rows.

Especially the head row staying visible and more items per page are so obvious, though. Why do they always need feedback after releasing an obviously lacking feature to fix things?

Okay, this is much better though I don't think it's actually better than the old-layout version. I wish the "check all" row were more prominent and that NP/NC weren't separated (I wish they weren't separated in the normal inventory either).

Oh, amendment: the stacked items in Quickstock DO make it better than the old-layout version. :O I finally don't have to manually uncheck all 10 of the Pant Devil Attractors that live in my inventory each time...!!! PRAISE BE.

These changes are great, yay! Being able to move things as a stack is huge, and love the NC/NP separation finallyyyy lol. Needing to deselect NC items I keep permanently in my inventory whenever I wanted to move NP items to my shop in bulk has been a pain point for ages.

Alright, I am pretty satisfied with how quick they fixed the bafflingly bad "new" version when I thought they wouldn't or it would take a long time. It's still kind of unnecessary an change and is going to mess up my muscle memory because I always went to quickstock to use the links to auctions/trading post which are gone from the new page, but it's better than having to deal with the unfixed version.

I took a look on the laptop and it's alright (because I have the padding tamed through Stylus). I like that you can separate NP from NC. If only you could sort items by type, so e.g. all the codestones are together. Or, you know, put them in tabs like the regular inventory.

On a related note, has anyone else had issues with NC Mall lag or error messages with NC items (item transfers, moving from chamber)? I've started noticing some since the quick stock re-update....

I''ve been getting gateway errors since they updated this, every page is giving me "Bad Request" and I've tried clearing cache etc but it's not fixing anything like it usually would. The site works on incognito mode but only with ad blocker turned off which makes using the website an absolute nightmare to navigate. Could just be a coincidence but something seems to have changed and my laptop doesn't like it.

I hate it. I liked that the old one would let me have some items that I always keep in my np inventory like food or a few omelettes, a few books, bitter medicine, grooming item, toy item. Now having these I can only move a little at a time compared to before when I could move things. I also noticed another classic page GONE.

Did they just shrink all the pages, or is there a gremlin in my computer. Unlike JN's pages which are almost full screen with just a little bit of blank on the side, my neo pages seem to be half the size they were 20 minutes ago. Are they trying to fix more things that aren't broken? Honestly sometimes I wonder why I am so dedicated to hanging out at this site.

Padding could be smaller and I wish they included item images, but the other improvements are all solid. Glad they fixed the obvious issues quickly.

I think the quickstock changes broke Neopets... first the NC Mall started lagging, and even if you do get into it, you can't buy anything, and when I'm trying to move an item into the gallery, I keep getting errors. (sigh) I really wish they'd test this stuff better before they implement it.

I haven't noticed the padding issues and the coloring isn't an issue for me either because I have never been running the default appearance of neopets. Every time a site does an update I spend hours going through and creating my own user styles to give it a look and feel that I prefer.

Unfortunately most sides do not take accessibility into consideration and I've always had to take matters into my own hands.

The fact that it doesn't remember your last selection - even in between a single move - is ridiculous. It goes right back to its default settings the moment you move items.

yeah this is 1000% an improvement, but I’m baffled that it lets you see 100 items but only move 70. why not either raise the limit to 100 or only show 70 items like the original page? and of course i think the page could be much more compact, but i’ll still take the W. thanks tnt for the prompt update.

The fix is better than the first change, but what I'd really like to see are more sorting options for the SDB.
Many are pretty useless at this point(looking at you, "Utility Fish"). Even just a "wearable" option in the dropdown would be awesome.

Still useless to me because the "check all" option doesn't actually select the radio buttons, so if you have 50 items and you want to deposit 49 of them, you need to select all 49 individually to avoid putting away the one item you want to keep out.

@tisbutaneko - Because if all you could see on the page is 70 items, that doesn't mean that you'd want to necessarily move those particular 70 items. Many people leave items in their inventory that they do not want moved to their SDB or elsewhere.

I was really really hoping that when Quickstock would finally get updated, it would show images or at least rarities.. but really nothing has changed :/ I put everything above r90 in my SDB but I still have to check my inventory for that..

Isn't Neohome V2 totally unusable? Why would I add anything to the V2 Storage Shed? (Good reminder to clean it out, since I can.)

Newest Neo wants to make a "new Neohome" as a mobile app, of all things.

FYI, Classic (V1) worked when TNT added Ruffle to the site. That got "broken" pretty soon after we got notified of this whim. A few more members lost at this move, some Premium. We were good for of page views, which may not even be a metric now.

@ biediep: My sympathies, and I feel the same way about rarity. That would be a true QoL improvement.

I do like the better accessibility of the single click to deselect an item.
