UPDATE, April 1st 4:30 PM NST: In a shocking upset that no one has seen coming, the strange old petpet is now in 1st place!
UPDATE, April 1st 11:30 AM NST: Symols are fortifying their spot at the top. But that strange petpet keeps jumping the ranks this morning, now in 10th place!
UPDATE, April 1st 8:45 AM NST: Symols are still holding strong on the leaderboard in first place. Nurannas and Slorgs have been running up towards the top over this morning, however. And... what?? What's that petpet in 25th place???
UPDATE, March 31st 8:00 PM NST: Symols have taken the top spot on the zap leaderboard. Zapped 7 times out of over 200 species changes today. Can they be caught? Kookiths and Noils are on their heels! (Over 140 different species have shown up in our zap histories today alone!) Keep zapping tomorrow!
We want a new mascot! And we want it to be a petpet! So, we thought, what better way to make such an important decision than by leaving it up to random chance!?!?
Petpet Lab Ray Logging Now Available
We're excited to announce that logging for zaps at the Petpet Lab Ray is now available with our Lab Ray Logger service!
If you already have the browser extension installed, no need to make any changes—the logging will happen automatically! Simply ensure that you're updated to version 2.0 on Firefox or version 4.0 on Chrome/Edge.

Your petpet zaps will be shown under a new tab for the Neopet that the petpet is attached to:
And like Neopet zaps, we'll give you a summary of your zaps at the top of the page. Plus, you can share your petpet zap history after enabling sharing!
So, what does that have to do with choosing a new mascot? Well, we're going to let the petpet zaps decide!
Each time someone zaps their petpet into a new species, that species gets one vote towards being our new mascot! By 5:00 PM NST on Wednesday, the petpet species with the most zaps will be crowned our new Jellyfied mascot.
