Now, you qualify for both the avatar and trophies by your total percentage of avatars obtained. The new thresholds are 70% for bronze, 72% for silver, and 75% for gold. Percentages are now listed on the HST as well. Additionally, the high score table is no longer competitive - you can qualify for the avatar and trophy no matter how many people on the table are already ahead of you. That means no more having to compete for slots on score reset day.
Now that the changes are live, you will need to modify your avatar score in order to trigger a trophy upgrade - either by gaining a new avatar or resetting with the Emo Usuki avatar - and the change will then happen automatically rather than having to wait for the trophy script to run each day.
The Avatar Collector avatar that was previously available to the top 50 on the HST has also been changed to also be automatic. The threshold for this was previously changed to 63% before the HST was taken down.
