This feature, a bit confusingly, has nothing to do with the books you're already familiar with that you read to your pet (though the blog mentions future plans for those too). Rather, think of it like a new type of stamp album! Rare Books will be a new type of Neopoint item "for display only and cannot be read to your pets." They will be available "through events, gameplay, and other surprises" and can be placed on your Rare Bookshelf, but cannot be removed later.
Although Rare Books are going to be Neopoint items, the Rare Bookshelf's display will be customisable through Bookshelf Kit items available at the NC Mall, similar to the long-retired Album Skins for your NC Mall Album. What are Rare Book sets?
Rare Book Sets are sub-collections of Rare Books. Each Rare Book belongs to a specific set, and each set has a specific number of books in it. Not all sets have the same number of books in them, though – one set may have only 5 books, another may have 10, and another still might have 22!
How do I customise my Rare Bookshelf?
When you’re on your Rare Book Collection page, there will be a button you can click to enter customisation mode. Clicking that will allow you to edit your current bookshelf by moving books and decorations around, as well as selecting parts of your bookshelf to swap out and mix and match. Just make sure to save your changes after!
Can I customise more than one Rare Bookshelf?
Yes! Everyone gets one Rare Bookshelf by default, but you will be able to purchase additional Bookshelves in the NC Mall. You can decorate all your Bookshelves individually – they won’t automatically be the same.
Can I collect Rare Books and customise my Bookshelves on side accounts?
