Tales of Dacardia Login Calendar + QuickFinger Stock

Earlier this week, Tales of Dacardia released an app update. This update is not forced when opening the app, so you may need to visit your device's app store to update it yourself.

New Login Calendar
A new login calendar has begun today. It has 14 days of prizes, but is available for 15 days, so you must log in to the app today or tomorrow to have a chance at claiming all 14 prizes.

Captain QuickFinger's New Stock
Captain QuickFinger has returned with a rather pricey restock of goods themed around species with a February pet day. This stock will be available through February 28.

Resource Gathering Updates
The three Valentines-themed event resources from last year are once again available to gather. (These have actually been available since February 1, and were even briefly available by TNT error for a few days in mid-January.) However, if you did not unlock the omelette recipes that use them from last year's event, you won't be able to do anything with them.

These event resources are available to gather for a limited time.

Additionally, an Uncommon (blue) regular resource is now available at each gather point. According to the release notes, this is a permanent addition!

These normal resources are available to gather permanently!

Upcoming Event
Another Donation Drive event is set to begin on Monday, February 16, lasting for 13 days through February 28. We'll have the exact confirmed details on our event guide when it goes live on Monday.

Whoever added the Captain QuickFinger's New Stock has never played Tales of Dacardia before. The Pearly Negg costs are way out of sync with the values from the past. At least one Zero needs to be removed from the cost of each item.

No kidding. I wasn't able to earn enough to get the giant ghostkerchief coin last time. Definitely not going to bother to grind for the top prize this time because it's comically out of reach, and if prices keep skyrocketing like this I'm not sure the game is even worth playing.
by meepydom on February 14, 2026 1:55 PM NST
Well the captain is definitely a pirate at those prices.

I would have loved to have got the coin last time, but no way could I make that price. Would love to get one of those plushies as well but I think you would need to play for months on end to make those number of pearls.

The developers really need to play and understand the game before setting those levels.
by ladymoreta on February 14, 2026 3:32 PM NST
what makes you guys think they all don't understand the game? lol. they know what they're doing. i'm not sure why they THINK people are going to buy the pearly neggs, but people either are or they're just trying to see how far they can push us.
by freezepop on February 14, 2026 3:44 PM NST
I can afford ONE of those things in QuickFinger's stock. ...well, maybe two of the less expensive ones. But urgh. Also bleh, have I again been gathering that stuff for no reason?
by arktus on February 14, 2026 3:54 PM NST
the quickfinger thing is ridiculous already. I wasn't able to buy anything before and I can't buy anything again.
by lbunnyl on February 14, 2026 5:21 PM NST
Buying Pearly Neggs is out of the question because there are no attractive packages. What they really want is for us to play every day, collecting the supplies drop by drop.
by allanmennezess on February 14, 2026 5:41 PM NST
Even playing every single day and maxing pearly neggs, you still would take MONTHS to reach 25,000! LOL
The neggs should be capped at 5000 for the top prize maximum.
by hauntria on February 14, 2026 6:39 PM NST
My brain didn't even process the 25k one. Yeah I can't afford that one.
by arktus on February 14, 2026 7:41 PM NST
Lol I would assume this was an April fools joke but it's the wrong holiday for that. I just removed the app from my phone because I'm not paying real money for pearly neggs and that's the only reason I play this stupid game.
by cryistalene on February 14, 2026 8:29 PM NST
Weekly, the best one person who does dailies without fail can attempt to produce without luck factor from the wheel would be approx. something between 2,635 and 3,335. That, If times 2 (two weeks, which If I didn't see wrong, Is the countdown for these new loots) makes 5,270 - 6,670, which Is just 1/5 to 1/4 of the way to 25k pearly neggs. One would still be unable to reach that, and not even be able to get the cheapest 7k prize unless one has saved some up to this day
by maninshi on February 14, 2026 8:57 PM NST
As much as I’d like to get the books and gourmet food.. None of the items are an album item, and they seem to be getting more expensive... So I’ll be skipping the Quickfinger’s deals this time around. Gotta make sure I have enough for when they do put up an album item, because I got into stamp collecting last year and need a lot of the expensive ones. Saving books and foods is just a side hoarding activity, for when I do decide to do them later.
by reiryokuryuu on February 14, 2026 9:36 PM NST
The value of those items DOES seem quite high, though. Unsure if I should skip this one or not.
by arktus on February 14, 2026 9:53 PM NST
Every time I see an update about this game it has gotten exponentially worse than it was before. It's unbelievable. What a disgusting, predatory system. So glad I uninstalled.
by neolodgeism on February 14, 2026 10:58 PM NST
Whats the point of even playing this game when it is literally not possible to get more tha one of those prizes a YEAR with that cost. Even if you make 100 pns a day its not enough to get anything. This is ridiculous. What a stupid game. I'm not playing this anymore... waste of time.
by godzilla1 on February 15, 2026 5:37 AM NST
additionally they finally fixed the bug for players that couldn't get the pearly negg plant to recharge without leaving the game open and running on their phone. after almost two (!!!!!!!!!) years.

and they they do another crazy expensive Captain stock??? How out of touch are they with that game.

Even for the lucky people who COULD get the negg plant to recharge normally that's an insane amount. And I'm not one of those lucky ones. lol. I have less than 1000 neggs now lol.
by alltimemarr on February 15, 2026 5:49 AM NST
Are they trolling us and added an extra zero to all the prices ???
by alltimemarr on February 15, 2026 5:52 AM NST
been struggling to stay invested in dacardia, doing my dailies felt like a chore.
seeing the treasure trove's prices increase tenfold is irksome enough that i may finally put the game down.
by mikeja78 on February 15, 2026 7:54 AM NST
I've been thinking about leaving the game, but darn, FOMO gets me coming back every time, at least for the donation drives, and even those are becoming... hard? I mean, I donated daily, maybe missed a day (I'm not sure), I started looking at the prices, and couldn't afford all of them like in previous drives. I'm not paying to get the opportunity to get extra points. At this point I think they are trying to force players to spend money on this game, which of course is not worth it, the game is incomplete, they are not releasing the rest of Dacardia's map anytime soon it seems.
This game is boring, and still alive only thanks to FOMO.
And by the way all I'm doing in the game is the 5 daily BBB taks, feeding the pets (which is RIDICULOUS, they get hungry way TOO FAST), and that's it, is not worth spending more time gathering resources.
P.S. i'm and idjit, on the two prev donations drives I completely forgot about spending my points (was very buusy with my boyfriend I totally forgot about doing it), they should keep the store live at least for an extra day or two
by maxgarou on February 15, 2026 8:43 AM NST
I've collected like 100 of each of the Valentines items thinking we would get recipes for them...That was a waste of time
by morules_99 on February 15, 2026 8:57 AM NST
I play 95% just for BBB and WoP bonuses. Donation drives and Captain QF have been cherries on top though it's a little disappointing to basically be priced out of this round lol. I never made enough for the Coin in the last batch so have a nice stockpile to start from this time so can at least get one prize.

Possibly they're trying to incentivize buying Pearly Neggs with cash at the premium parlour. But those prices are like...really high. It's hard for me to imagine even a whale paying for some. These prizes are mostly valuable just because they're rare not because they're all that exciting. So that means both F2P and P2P players are boxed out and no one wins lol. It's a flop for me!!
by kenny on February 15, 2026 8:59 AM NST JN Staff
i really hope this is just an extra 0 typo, but it feels like they're trying to force everyone to buy pns
by tygercan on February 15, 2026 9:13 AM NST
Yeah definitely feels like 1 too many "0"s, and I'm an oceanic mammal.
by sneakysloth on February 15, 2026 9:31 AM NST
Oof I was hoping they weren't going to make everything super expensive again but it looks even worse this time. I just don't have the energy nor time to try and grind the pearly neggs for some of those higher-ticket items. Even the real-money options aren't even attractive options if you just want pearly neggs. Not that I have money to spare for that option, anyway.

I really hope they rethink the prices for future releases. For reference, the cheapest item in this stock (7000 pearly neggs) is more expensive than the most expensive items in previous stocks (5000 pearly neggs). I'd rather not have the treasure trove at all if the prices stay this unrealistic.
by nyrine on February 15, 2026 10:12 AM NST
I also want to add, I get they probably don't want to crash the market but I don't think these stocks in the past have really crashed them in comparison to other features on the site.

Great example of this is the Queen of Screams Dress. It was in the treasure trove around Halloween just last year. Looking at price history, it dipped from 2 million neopoints to just under 1 million neopoints as a result of it being in the treasure trove. Then it got placed in the prize pool for the Neopies and suddenly you could buy it for under 1000 neopoints.

So really, if they're worried about crashing the market they shouldn't be looking to the treasure trove as a culprit even remotely. I'm sure there's some items that did plummet but not nearly as much as things from the Neopies, Advent Calendar, Quest Log, etc.
by nyrine on February 15, 2026 10:25 AM NST
They're clearly trying to scale the pearly negg prices to the actual neopoint values but yeah 25000 is simply not doable for almost everyone haha
by andantena on February 15, 2026 10:50 AM NST
I want to believe that whoever set the prices accidentally added a zero to each... there's no way they're being this obvious about wanting people to spend money. Be better TNT
by rhianafaeriedoll on February 15, 2026 12:07 PM NST
I now see that this post was from yesterday, was this hidden on the Tales of Dacardia page and not on the homepage before? Because I look at the JellyNeo page multiple times a day and I didn't see it yesterday.

I thought the event/calendar started today, but apparently yesterday was the first day. And they're now doing the strict only-14 days-to-get-14-rewards-so-sucks-to-be-you-schedule since last event.

Wouldn't have minded missing the chocolate box... i hope the final reward is gonna be shit too lol.
by alltimemarr on February 15, 2026 12:15 PM NST
oh wait, my math wasn't mathing apparantly, hahahah.

" A new login calendar has begun today. It has 14 days of prizes, but is available for 15 days, so you must log in to the app today or tomorrow to have a chance at claiming all 14 prizes. "
by alltimemarr on February 15, 2026 12:16 PM NST
I only keep ToD for the Quest Log - I'm quitting feeding two of the three pets - it isn't worth my time to keep all three fed, thank you very much.

And add on to the fact that nobody can proceed further just makes ToD even more deader.

Then, QuickFinger's stock prices... i almost spit out my drink when I saw the prices and WHAT the items were. I only have 1091 pn. Can't even do the lowest priced one - 7000. Yeah right. I'd appreciate being able to get the books, but I ain't paying for anything with RL money on ToD at all - it is a dead game, to me, anyway.

Looks like a lot of others feel the same way about ToD being a dead game. And even if one zero was removed from each price - most of them would still be unaffordable for probably the majority of the players who still actually have ToD just for the Quest Log.
by simkim on February 15, 2026 2:50 PM NST
Regarding the FOMO, here's the way it played out for me.

For a very long time - basically since release - I have been playing both games in order to earn NP, get prizes at the events, etc. I rapidly realized that while I enjoy FF, I LOATHE ToD. I still did both for the quest log, but I didn't enjoy ToD.

Every time the game was updated, it became worse. Prices were higher, activities were more demanding, pets got hungry faster and faster, no new enjoyment was added, just always more cash shop junk, never new content. I bought a bundle of decorations from the store and it took me *3 full months* and a LOT of back and forth with the team, repeatedly proving I bought it and didn't receive it, to FINALLY get the bundle. By then I had already begun to deeply resent ToD.

The wheel never once gave me anything good, even though I spun it max times per day, including watching ads. My pets were constantly unhappy, or I'd have to constantly be going back into the game to harvest and make omelettes. The activities were repetitive and boring, the 'donation dome' was a blatant laziest possible way to keep people coming in and participating.

Same with FF. Even though I at least enjoy that game, the event system is identical. Plug in a few prizes and run the event. Total phone-in content. And they never give any downtime. One event ends and within a couple weeks there's another one. They put in these crazy prizes people have been seeking for years - rare stamps, coins, etc. - or new items that are exclusive to the game, that collectors will freak out over and want for their albums.

In FF, they boosted the perceived scarcity of items by making it so that they 'restocked', meaning that people have to stay up until all hours of the night refreshing in hopes of being able to snag the item they want.

[Ct'd]

They did the same thing in a way with the quest log. At first there were so many things we were excited about in each item pool, and participating was exciting so we could get those prizes. It was great, too, because items were actually deflating significantly.

Then they started making the prize pools less and less exciting, so that most weekly prizes were junk, with only one or two truly worthy items.

They messed with our ability to reroll prizes, and made it exponentially expensive to do so, so that most people have to either waste money rerolling - GAMBLING for a good prize - or else spent the week working toward an item we don't care about.

That alongside other things on the site - including the P2W, 'have and have not' fragmentation of the community via the premium shenanigans - made me slowly start to realize that I was spending more and more time every day doing things I hated doing, and that while I was spending more time than ever before in history on Neopets or things connected to Neopets, I was enjoying it all less than ever before in the past 24 years on the site. I was trying to get the things I wanted, and I didn't want to miss out, but I was so unhappy doing it.

Late last year I finally fully accepted that this TNT team is actively trying to mess with our heads. They're actively using predatory psychology to generate FOMO and manipulate us to spend more time, more money and essentially create addictive behavior and get us gambling with caps, with wheels, with events, etc.

I hate this with a fiery passion.

I came close to quitting entirely, but I love my pets, and I love the community, and there are things I enjoy on the site. So instead I decided to just be more conscious and cautious about Neopets from now on. I decided to only do things I genuinely enjoy, and to let go of FOMO, and to spend less time and less money on Neopets.

[Ct'd]

I uninstalled ToD and mostly stopped participating in the quest log. If there's an item in the quest pool that I want, rather than try for it via the quest log, I'll just buy it outright once it starts to fully deflate. Now when my weekly streak starts over I don't feel compelled to reroll for a chance at that one thing I really want.

I stopped participating heavily in the events or trying to earn all the big prizes, and only play FF when I feel like it.

I am back to (mostly) enjoying myself on Neopets, although I can't unsee how predatory and manipulative this team is. But I get out of it what I want now, and I examine everything closely and avoid anything that makes me feel even a hint of FOMO. I use FOMO as a signal to myself that I'm being ... 'mucked' with, and avoid that thing rather than get sucked in.

I say all this because maybe there are others out there who felt like I did, and might want to break free too.

It's been nice to get back to the roots of what I liked, and mostly ignore the heinous garbage we've been fed by this team.

I hope you'll all be conscious and careful out there. Keep an eye out and watch what's being done to manipulate you into addictive or at least 'sticky' behavior. Ask yourself: is there something else I could be doing, either in-game or IRL, that I would enjoy more? Chances are yes.
by neolodgeism on February 15, 2026 4:53 PM NST
An additional thing that upsets me:
The Valentine Paint Brush and Chocolate Paint Brush (and I guess the Cloud Paint Brush) are currently ONLY available in a bundle, not separately. ...not that I ever plan to send money ToD's way.
by arktus on February 15, 2026 6:03 PM NST
The spectre of enshitification comes for us all...or rather, it comes for us when nobody is coordinating on what they want to do with the neopets economy beyond short term goals or trying to give themselves room later for a more concrete plan which will never actually arrive.
by weirdee on February 15, 2026 7:34 PM NST
Yawn. Can we just get a story update for once? This game has turned into a joke sadly..
by dustin on February 15, 2026 7:53 PM NST
All Neopets related is becoming absurdly annoying.
I somehow have been enjoying FF a bit, doing events that I had been avoiding from the beginning.
ToD is the one I can't find anything enjoyable anymore. Donations have become expensive on the resource gathering, having to craft omelettes to feed the pets who get hungrier faster and faster, no recipes available from past events, I wished they would give us the chance to get the recipes to craft Halloween and Christmas omelettes, otherwise what's the use in gathering items that will only be useful as donations.
Agree with Neolodgeism on the Quest Long commentary. It is getting worse, prices are no longer exciting, we mostly get NPs and a few worthless items from daily QL taks, No good or rare PBs/petpets/petpetpets/books (I don't care about stamps, but I guess theres not an interesting one for collectors either). I love my pets, but I'm finding it quite hard to come back daily.

Big ol' skip event for me.
by coryldork on February 16, 2026 5:12 AM NST
It really seems like they want everybody to buy pearls. Sorry, but I spend enough on premium and neocash. This game is getting less and less fun and I actually liked it before all these "improvements."
by shrieking_violet on February 16, 2026 7:51 AM NST
I just want to point out that you couldn't directly buy pearls, then you could, now you can't again and earning them is tedious. The app is soooooo glitchy and they do not care. The fact that you have to pick an area and there is only one makes me giggle every time. They set up graphics to pretend like other things were attainable. My kids are like why do you even play that?! I stopped spending on events after support was so rude/ignored me enough I had my corporate tech run weird tests (dunno-I dont do that) on the app. They found me a solve and told me how horribly the app is structured. I told NP to be nice, after all the help please tickets. No response from support. I can confidently identify the entire value of the dev and support team on here and its available at your local grocery store... just wild.
