Tales of Dacardia Donation Event Now Live

Today, the donation portion of the ongoing event in Tales of Dacardia has begun, with a Tapi Triplau looking for donations.

There is a short introductory quest to repaint the town plaza and begin the event. As part of this, Tapi will appear on the island as a new character.



The mechanics of the event are similar to the Donation Dome events, only you are once again donating items to a good cause instead of beating up opponents. There are also a selection of island-themed Neopets.com prizes available from the event's prize shop, and four automatic prizes for hitting donation thresholds.

This Donation Dome will from today until January 31st. There is a login calendar ongoing until January 31st in addition.

We're still setting up a value guide for the prize shop, but our event guide is fully updated with all the details and mechanics.

I've been having login issues with Dracardia for several days where I cannot get in except for re-installing (which only works sometimes) and was really hoping it would be fixed before this event... but it was not.

I've been having the same login error. Says to check my network connection because it can't connect to the server. I've checked and it's totally fine. Even tried to use it without wifi and wifi at a different location and it's still broke. Last couple times I had to uninstall and reinstall, I had to start completely over which I really do not want to do.

Same login issues as everyone else, but I fixed them by reinstalling the app, allowing notifications (when prompted), and then closing and opening the app once or twice. It's annoying to have the notifications, but whatever. All my buildings were also stacked on top of each other and it was just as annoying to move them back around, but hey, at least I can get into the game.

Yeah that stupid app…. For some unlucky users the pearl negg plant also never recharges unless the game is open.

I don’t know how they dare to have such expensive items in that time limited store.

Fix your freaking app first.

The app breaks every event and you have to reinstall the game. If it was a really enjoyable game maybe it wouldnt be the biggest issue but i think imma do what I read some other players been doing lately; just not reinstall and have one less issue 😂

Not very excited about any of these prizes, generally every other event they have above 1 mil stamps, coins, or charms and this time it is just a bunch of stuff I really don't want. I really feel like they are dropping the ball with prizes during events on the app and the site.

For anyone having trouble logging in, if you haven't signed out of Neopass, turning on notifications seems to fix the issue, somehow. If you have signed out, there's no way to sign back in.

Also, the special Vday mats (chocolate berry, chocolate, jelly heart) are all gone now and can’t be gathered.

Looks like this one I’m gonna skip. I’m losing interest with both app games with the repetitive events. The prizes on this one aren’t great imo unless you’re into the gourmet club.

What @octovalley said. Many of us had this Issue fixed just like that....

... as for the pearly negg eggs not refilling while app Is off, you're gonna have to submit tickets, and good luck the Issue doesn't get solved after a month

I don’t mind the events because there’s always something I don’t have from it whether books, stamps, or items I’d like for my gallery. But this one is a bit sad in that the majority of the prizes are gourmet food and the prices on those always crash. Still there is a coin, stamp, and book so I’m good.

uninstalled and reinstalled 5 times today. still wont work. now it is stuck on my birthday verification. i give up. im connected to home wifi. have tried just mobile internet. i think this game hates me

I -can- log in, and I only today noticed that QuickFinger has new stock. Apparently it happened a few days ago and JN never posted about it? ...so much for me just buying everything because that's definitely not happening this time.

Also, they claimed that this new visitor would really want omelettes, but nah, they're the same value as "usual".

So, I don't know when this was added, but on my daily prize log, there's a Valentines Kadoatie Plushie that isn't listed on your daily prize list. It's one of the premium quest prizes.

Between this low value prize shop, the p2w only Giant Ghostkerchief Coin at the treasure trove and the app generally performing like a hot mess, it's been a pretty terrible week all round for Dacardia.

It's possible for a mere f2p player like me to have enough pearly neggs for the coin... provided you're pretty on-point with getting them and you don't spend them on anything else.

If you haven't logged out, go to app settings in your phone itself and allow notifications and it should work.

Relieved this is so skippable. I uninstalled the app around the end of the year, and it's been a huge improvement on my life not trying to deal with neopass quest log, not doing any more ToD dailies or activities, just walking away. I always hated that game, and I'm glad I stopped playing it.

I play this app a lot and I mean far too much although not as much as Faerie Fragments which is fun. It seemed like I was working towards something especially the only real reason to play neopoints and Neopets items rewards but now it seems close to impossible to earn pearly neggs. My neomails need constantly deleting due to dacardia notifications so I'm not sure what else I can try.

i used to buy a booster pass for every event but will now be skipping a second time because i don't care about the prizes. happy for the gourmet club people but they could have done better even with that.

Can the people who are unable to log In also say that even when allowing notification the game won't open? It's a really vital piece of Information (and maybe double check just to make sure. It's good to discard possibilities, even If for future reference )

So they lured us in with good, easily achievable prizes in earlier events, and then changed it to where the only good prize is from grinding or shelling out for thousands of pearly neggs. Thanks, I hate it.

I also get the server connection error message constantly and cannot even sent a report since I can't login I even uninstalled the app and reinstalled but now I can't even log into my neopass for the app...

My husband is having the same connection error. Everybody else is. Look forward to seeing if they fix it. My error is that the guy told me to paint the donation dome but didn't give me a paintbrush to do it. So I can't do anything on the quest etc. I'm not getting any quests for chapter 2. And I'm afraid to uninstall and reinstall in case I get the same error my husband is.

"SERVER" ERROR FIX: You need to allow notifications on the device level. For example, on my Android phone, I have to to go to Settings > Apps > App management > Neopets: Tales of Dacardia > Manage notifications.

Some people still have trouble with the birthdate screen. You might have to scroll through the entire terms of agreement, restart the app a few times, reboot your phone, etc., but I haven't seen people get permanently stuck on this one once they have notifications enabled.

Once the game loads you WILL find that buildings have "disappeared" - they are actually all stacked in one spot. You should be able to move them, but you MUST move and save them individually.

I don't recommend disabling notifications again until further notice, but you can disable them within the app itself under Settings > Preferences at the bottom.

This update was a mess. I have to assume it was just some errant code, but it affected everyone who had notifications disabled. x_X;

@meredith yeah and my plan is to...stop spending money on it. i spent $16 a month on it basically with each donation dome. that's more than a premium subscription. if they want to make things lame i'll just close my wallet. easy.

Well, today it made me log in again and thankfully it all worked, however now the neopass quest log isn't registering that I've logged in today and done the dialysis requirements even though I just did them all /sigh

Went back to try again, same thing. Login expired please login again. Not registering on the main site that I've done so.

Cleared cache and tried again still nothing. Doesn't appear any rewards I earned in Dacardia are making it to my account either.

So in checking within the app, it appears to not think my account is linked for on-site rewards even though it is linked and shows the link at loading and when I try to reconnect it, it tells me it's already migrated. Good job Neopets.

Cleared data and cache again and checked the app store. There's an update. Still have to redo my daily task for questlog but it's functioning again.

Suddenly able to log in to the app now, but it's bugged and all item-making buildings (except for the wheel and the shop) are completely gone from my game now, not even in the build menu, rendering it completely unplayable.
So much for the event.

That was confusing. There was a new data pack, so I downloaded it. The game gave me a Bludberry (Neopets item) and then became unresponsive until I restarted it. After restarting it, the game seems to work fine.

For the past few days, I haven't been able to log in. I updated the app, but it still doesn't work!
And I really don't want to reinstall it because I've heard that some people lose all their game progress...
Seriously, what's the point of having rewards for daily logins when the app is malfunctioning?
