This morning, some users got notifications that their pets had finished volunteering at the Void Within's Volunteer Centre. This appears to have only been sent out to users who had shifts waiting to be redeemed when the plot went on hiatus, and not to all of those users (so don't worry if you did have shifts waiting and did not get the notifcation).

At the Volunteering Centre page, there is now a new button that allows you to collect the rewards from shifts that started prior to the hiatus. This frees up the pets so they are no longer 'stuck' volunteering.


Importantly, this button will award both the item prize and the 40 plot points for each pending shift. Meaning that if you had all 8 shifts waiting, an additional 320 plot points are now available.

Note that each time you click the button, it will only award 1 pending shift at present. If you have multiple shifts pending, the button will grey out as if it is not working, but the items and plot points will be awarded. You will have to refresh the page to claim each pending shift. Only the final shift award correctly displays the popup message.

If you did not have any pending shifts when the plot went on hiatus, you will not see the new button. There is no way to start additional shifts once you have claimed them while the plot is on hiatus, so this appears to be a one time award.
