Today, the Igloo Garage Sale avatar added on December 15th has been discovered.


It appears it may be granted by purchasing 250 items from the Igloo Garage Sale (there is a limit of 10 purchases per day).

Hopefully it's not a random. I should get in a few days since I believe I had already gotten my 10 when it was first mentioned in the afternoon.

huh. I really haven't bought more than 250 items over my eighteen year account from the igloo sale? Or did it start from when the avatar was released? I know some stuff is retroactive.

either way that's pretty easy, so I appreciate it lol! I'll take an easier, just time consuming avatar ftw.

maninshi > the best time to get the Edna avatar was during Halloween, due to the odds increase. That's when I got mine.

Yup. I bought maybe one or two items a day since it came out, it'll be sold out for a while I bet. Oh well. Eventually I'll get it.

weeeee glad we finally found it! that was a fun hunt this isn't too bad at all, i'm glad it's not a random! and to those with concerns regarding stocking items, there is a several minute cooldown after each purchase so it's really not as hard as it may seem. it's not possible for a couple of individuals to buy ALL the items as soon as the restock happens. also the av is pretty cute, good job TNT

Don’t lose hope on the buried treasure avatar - I finally got it after about a year of trying in earnest (that is, have a three hour timer and refresh at my leisure whenever I notice the timer is done).

@novelista I did them 10 times each days for edna and still got nothing. It's not like It's any different than during halloween If I kept doing them 3-Ingredient quests nearly as that many times daily (since I was also doing snow faerie quest until a while ago). In the end It's all a matter of luck, and not a certain requirement like this Igloo avatar, unless maybe It's not the same requirement for each accounts T_T

@xxmsgxx the timer Is always a good plan for stuff like that. (I would also use them for edna and snow faerie quests) Also, congrats. I have over a year too but still no luck. It's still a work In progress for me. At this point I would prefer grave danger avatar over those over and over

Wording says since it was uploaded December 15th ? So its been 24 days so not sure how anybody got it yet unless it was uploaded before the 15th ?

I was able to purchase a couple things today and even take my time deciding on what to buy, so it looks like it's not that bad.

The av is cute but I don't care for the crown in it and I feel like I would've preferred if they'd used Mika and kept the whole avatar blue themed.

Is it bots? Probably just actual players?
Why would bots care? It's just an avatar, bots don't even collect avatars.
I doubt they have much to gain from the items themselves or the Igloo would've been botted all along. And reselling the items doesn't get anyone else the avatar. Unless those bots' whole purpose is to just ruin it for everyone else.

I don't think the Igloo is as bad as what people think.
I got my 10 items in just over an hour, only spent 1310 nps by just buying the cheapest items. All but one item (Basic Violet Floor Tiles) will bring in a profit.
Game is refreshing as fast or even faster than normal shops.
Easy enough just to have the tab open and refresh every so often.

@biediep if it is bots then they're for sure doing it to ruin the experience for everyone else. would not be the first time people used them to prevent people from obtaining avatars.

I haven't been having too much trouble finding items either. The 10 a day limit helps quite a bit. If you're trying in the mornings NST, try in the evenings instead, after more folks have hit the 10 limit. I also suspect it'll be busy for about 2-3 weeks while people get the av, then this won't be an issue at all.

Quite pleased that they added an avatar that doesn't rely too much on insane luck or an insane NP spend requirement. This one should be quite easy to get, just require a bit of time.

i'm getting the feeling that the igloo is restocking more often or with more items now. i always check on it anyway so i've been doing that as always

I was about to say that the Igloo has been restocking A LOT for like 10 minutes now >:O (and sadly I have reached the limit already )

I strongly love Neopets it is a lovely niche game I adore playing it.
However !
Visit the Igloo sale every day for many years and gotten amazing items from it.
I have to say it is always empty nowadays and honestly I do not have the time to wait around for refills, my account is 19 years old and as an adult with responsibilties other than Neopets it is a sad state of affairs this game seems to be unable to keep up with itself.
Hopefully the game will balance itself out.
