Igloo Garage Sale + Ice Cream Cart Updated

UPDATE: Today's New Features update indicates that the Igloo Garage Sale and Ice Cream Cart each have a new avatar to uncover...

The Winter Starlight Celebration is in full swing, if you haven't stopped by lately, now's the perfect time! Alongside all the seasonal events, we’ve rolled out new winter updates you won’t want to miss. Visit the shiny new Igloo Garage Sale and Ice Cream Cart pages for brand new avatars to unlock and the Ice Cream Cart refreshed offerings. Be sure to visit both locations while enjoying the Winter Starlight festivities, you might walk away with something cool (or an icy new avatar)!

Both the Igloo Garage Sale (the actual igloo, not the game!) and the Ice Cream Cart have received updates today.

The most visible changes to start are that they've been converted to the new layout. However, past that we haven't been able to confirm any other changes to these features yet. (Notably, the Igloo is still stocking Neohomes 2.0 junk.)

It's possible that the Ice Cream Cart has received new prizes, but the coupons required are rare and expensive, so any new confirmations will take awhile.

I don't mean to sound negative, but I sincerely want to know, was anyone asking for this? I can't imagine there was huge demand for pages that were currently working just fine to be converted to the somewhat divisive new layout. Am I missing something?

It just feels like an odd choice given how much stuff on the site is still genuinely broken (like King Skarl for instance) that could use some attention instead.

Yea I do wish they'd fix the actual broken pages/features, but I'm just glad they're finally converting more pages at all. As a desktop user I still hate the new layout, but at least the site is ever-so-slowly becoming more cohesive :')

went to ice cream cart thing first - said I did not have ice cream ticket - which I was ure I had - oops - mine was for a concert - Catch them on tour throughout Tyrannia! - next was the igloo...purchased a book for 3 something...it said was problem completeing transaction...ew what fun

Why is there a "Refresh Stock" button? It's not like the stock actually refreshes, it just refreshes the page. Aren't there already buttons on your screen or keyboard that do the exact same thing? XD

Meanwhile, I'm trying to trade a Scary Map Piece that I thought would be in high demand, but haven't had anyone even making an offer for the past few days

I echo what many are saying - TNT needs to prioritize and focus on what is broken right now. Fix that first before introducing a new updated look to something that isnt broken and looked better the old way.

It would be nice if they actually took the time to make sure the previous "upgrade" actually works before rolling out something else that's already clearly broken. Three of my pre-trading post update lots apparently don't exist now, but the items are still locked as being in a trade. Why not work on some of the stuff that was actually broken in the first place rather than nuking the igloo?

It feels like they outsource the coding and the programmers don’t actually have access to the site to test if anything works before pushing it live. Them aren’t immediately available to revert changes when everything is broken

With posts like this, we always see a bunch of you commenting "fix the broken stuff first"--and I'm always curious, what's on your personal bug list that you'd wish TNT would fix first?

I'll go first:
- Convert the remaining wearables to HTML5
- Fix Grumpy Old King
- Well it was always "add automatic commas to the NP input fields on the Trading Post", and sadly still applies to the new TP!

The wearables are absolutely number one on my list of needing to be fixed. It is crazy that there are real money NC items (that get re-released even!) that don't work

2 on the list is basically anything else that still needs to be converted from flash to html5. Like any of the dailies at minimum that are still on it.

nightshadeswiftswing- dude forr real!!! all the SS items and pet day cap items are just literally the icon for broken images!! they're releasing too much all the time that they aren't properly doing it right in the first place. and then there's the issue of items just not showing up on pets?? why are we spending money on these things??

I can see this Igloo change really having a dramatic effect on the way it works - stock is disappearing really fast because there's no longer a need to return to the main page then go back into the garage sale. Seems like it's going to be way more competitive now (yay ...).

I personally like when they convert old style pages to new, but each to their own. But my number one wish is for the games that don't work to be fixed.

@dave: The new trading post has many other bugs that I hope they prioritise on fixing. Besides what you have listed, I also hope that fix ghost notifications and user shop history.

@stormmonarch: But they can't fix ghost notifications, because if they do then you won't see any other notifications anymore either! When I send some stuff to my side account, I only see it in the notifications if there's a ghost notification stuck there as well!
...in other words: They should fix the notifications entirely XD

And I can't be the only one who has experienced weird overlap in icons, or "new" games hidden behind the top bar, right? Or is that just me? I think it's much more important that site features work as intended before they break other things that then need fixing as well..

I want them to fix the wearables too. And pets - my Biscuit Uni is a floating head and wings. D:

In an ideal world they'd have a desktop site AND a mobile-friendly site. Last I knew there's only like 2 programmers left though, unless they've hired more. But honestly, less push on gachas, more on making already-existing things work, especially the stuff people paid real money for.

Number one fix for me would be to fix the glitches in the TP revamp they just released. The search function is not working as intended, always showing the oldest lots first, and we can't see more than the first 20 lots. If a user script is capable of solving this issue, I don't see why TNT haven't done it yet. They took so long to release this revamp after announcing it and it was clearly not tested at all.

I finally caught a glimpse of what the Igloo Garage Sales look like today and I gotta say.....

I hate It to an F degree; on my phone I can't adjust screen size like In the past, so I am only able to watch like 9 Items, and that Is very defficient and depressive

I don't even want to see how It looks on a computer now. I'll probably be forced to toy with navigators zooming for other than battledome

Well, just checked on a computer. It's not as bad, but It's worse.

And worse yet, unlike restocking and Igloo garage before revamp, I can't just click and "press enter with the keyboard" to the window that says "are you sure...". It sucks

@dave fix the broken stuff first relating to the pages they convert – like it's more important to get rid of the floors and walls that no one cares about, and then consider converting the page. Also, the refresh button is actually nice, seeing as most shops can be refreshed by clicking on the shopkeeper banner – I don't understand why they didn't do that, though.

Also they should fix the shop history sorting that THEY BROKE just a few months ago.

Oh, and turns out, you CAN'T just actually refresh the page. It goes back to the entrance (at least this is what happens when there's nothing in stock). Like Shop Wizard.
So there, another thing that they needlessly broke and should fix lol.

Weird bug I've seen with the Garage sale, I've been able to "buy" multiple items so far, despite having zero np on hand. Best part, the items actually go into the inventory instead of not.

@dave the main things I wanna see fixed are

Grumpy old king like you mentioned,
GHOST NOTIFICATIONS!!!
Trudy's notification
Wishing Well sometimes only granting wishes once per day anymore

Though that one is probably a good thing cause only bots ever win anyway.
Which brings me to the next "fix" I'd like to see:
For them to at least TRY and put some anti-botting measures in place.
Captcha's on making wishes and food club bets for example, would be annoying but at least it'd be something.

Fix the ads from blocking the actual site so you literally can't play without ad-blocker...

And now with the TP update, there's bugs there that need fixing.
The igloo already has bugs that need fixing..

Also two very small, insignificant things that've been bugging me for ages:

Hitting enter after entering your PIN in your SDB doesn't work, you have to click the button.
The red "back" arrow after playing Tombola takes you back to Tombola, not back to Mystery Island, despite the fact that you can only play once per day.

OH and another big one:

If my pets could stop getting completely shuffled around on the QuickRef and in the Training Schools every time I transfer a pet, that'd be G R E A T. And when reading/feeding etc.
How they still haven't fixed our pets to just show up in alphabetical order in those places is insane.

Sorry for so many posts in a row, but.. on a positive note,
For the last 5-or-so restocks I've seen the Igloo stock, there hasn't been a single one of those Neohome items, so I think they may have removed them after all?! That'd be awesome!

@dave personal bug list....?
Well...

-when I try playing HTML5 games (just Kass Basher and Ultimate Bullseye II), the ads that pop up makes the game screen scroll... (down? Up?) The thing Is, It goes up the screen, and I am unable to scroll It down. This Is bad when playing Ultimate Bullseye cuz I can't press the Icon to make It full screen, so It's partially unplayable T -T

There are two matters making restocking kinda pretty hell lately:

1) The ads popping up has always been bad but manageable, but on the phone, the ads scroll down the screen a little, which Is awkward the moment you try to press the neopet mid haggling. The scrolling part wasn't a thing until recently...

2) For some reason on a computer, clicking on the neopet mid haggling It results In me missing clicking the neopet (the small red message above the pic). It happens sometimes and I have no Idea. Also It's a recent thing happening and Idk If It has to do with haggling on different shops, or maybe because I set the zooming to a 75% more or less..?

And finally, and probably a pretty common Issue from the ancient times but, when loading just get frozen or stuck (false positives?), forcing me to either reclick or refresh, or to supposedly wait till It loads, which I have no Idea It'll ever load until It does..... after a minute or more

Another big bug:
My mom's Quest Log keeps resetting for no reason.
She has proof that she did all her quests the previous day, but the next day she's back at 1 checkmark. She's Premium and doesn't even get the option to keep her streak or anything. It just puts her back at 1 checkmark even if today would've been the 6th or 7th. She's been working on the same weekly prize for like 2 weeks now because of this.
Dunno if mine has that issue too as I haven't bothered with QL in weeks.

It appears that although the Igloo is still stocking neohome items, there must be a script that clears the igloo inventory whenever there is ONLY neohome items left. This is a great compromise, so the igloo won't get slowly filled with useless flooring like before

I give up on the Igloo.

Whether It works or not, my problem Is It's very unconfortable. A downgrade to the original where I could zoom In and out and see everything on screen. With this current limitation I get too anxious and grab whatever Is right there while skipping checking on the others, It's very defficient.

It's sad because I would always grab some good lots with low rarity which was a nice thing, but this Is too obnoxious to take It easy

For awhile, I was able to play Neohome version 1 again. Then just after Staff claimed they'd do a Neohome V3, the rooms won't load anymore.

So they don't want me to register hundreds of clicks per day for what reason? They aren't helping their "impress investers" cause.

Welp half of the stuff is floors and walls again, and there are some items that are stocked in 0 quantity, but still take up space lol. Don't you love it when the update is purely cosmetic (and arguably makes it kinda worse) and doesn't actually improve anything xD
