r100 Items Now Restockable

An infamous long-standing bug that prevented r100 items from restocking in Neopian shops has seemingly been fixed within the last couple days!

We are working on updating various parts of Jellyneo to reflect this change. In the meantime, try your luck at the shops!

Note that an item still requires a non-zero Est. Value to restock. A handful of r100 items will continue to be non-restockable due to this requirement.

not going to restock very often. Any idea how often a r99 and r100 would restock?
by snudycaisu on December 9, 2025 8:32 AM NST
It would depend on how many different items of those rarities are in the specific store, but you could restock for days without seeing one. To say nothing of if you’re after a specific one.
by neolikepets on December 9, 2025 8:50 AM NST
Meh, congrats to all the botters who will get the one r100 that stocks every few months. Higher rarity items are just far too rare, they should be 10x more common at least
by leek on December 9, 2025 9:04 AM NST
All will be sniped by bots anyways.

Rare economy in shambles
by duskshadowbrony on December 9, 2025 9:37 AM NST
There goes the economy and some of the joy of getting an r100 and the frustrations of not. Double edge sword.
by n0dnarbs5 on December 9, 2025 10:17 AM NST
Scratch previous comment. not many will be re-stackable. Shouldn't make much of an impact.
by n0dnarbs5 on December 9, 2025 10:28 AM NST
This isn’t beneficial at all tbh as people said, botters will 100% get them, plus with how few actually restock, just making the cheater rich more rich
by hotwheeles on December 9, 2025 10:42 AM NST
I see two main benefits here:

(1) The supply will increase over what it was before (mostly none for most of these), which is good even if they get bought by cheaters. (Now, if only TNT would start tracking some of them down... then we'd have less botters AND a restocking r100s)

(2) One more glitch fixed is one less thing to complain about! Anyone's who's ever said "I wish TNT was fixing the site instead of _____" should be here celebrating lol
by dave on December 9, 2025 10:53 AM NST JN Staff
I agree it's a fix that *mainly* benefits the bots, so Idk about celebrating, but.. TNT actually fixing something that doesn't make them money in any way (yet...)?? It IS a win. And it'd be nice to see some more of those rare booktastics around.
by biediep on December 9, 2025 11:12 AM NST
A longstanding bug was fixed that doesn't directly translate to neocash purchases. This is a massive win! The attitude of 'they shouldn't fix things if it's possible a bot might benefit' is so defeatist.
by sockcreature on December 9, 2025 11:36 AM NST
I stopped restocking years ago when the bots started sniping everything.
by sakaarson on December 9, 2025 11:37 AM NST
I'd try to be more grateful for a small fix on the site If 99% of the effort wasn't put toward further paywalling the site in the meanwhile and deciding not to address the angry player's concerns about issues we've been raising for weeks and months, yeah. I'd love to be more understanding and patient but this team destroyed all hope and goodwill I had, a s f2p user, by making the f2p game absolutely miserable.
by silvia on December 9, 2025 11:38 AM NST
I don't know why we should be celebrating about TNT doing the bare minimum
by spongegrundo on December 9, 2025 12:30 PM NST
Wow they actually did something.

Except the restock system is still borked thanks to the number of items available and the bots, so who even cares at this point.
by infernodragon02 on December 9, 2025 12:33 PM NST
TNT: *doesn't fix bugs*
Users: "FIX THE BUGS!!!!"

TNT: *fixes several major bugs*
Users: "Ugh, they actually did the bare minimum, wow..."

Holy hell, people cannot be satisfied.
by duskshadowbrony on December 9, 2025 12:40 PM NST
I'm happy to hear this
by karen_mckenzie on December 9, 2025 12:49 PM NST
Several major glitches? What other ones did they fix again?
I got distracted by all the "Go to the NC Mall" pop-ups and "Buy Premium" buttons everywhere.

I'll celebrate when they stop throwing those huge pop-ups in our faces on random pages every day, and stop being so obnoxious to F2P by throwing EVEN MORE ads in their faces, making the site practically unplayable, trying to force people to buy Premium. And when they finally fix the stupid ghost notifications. And fix King Skarl. And actually do something meaningful about the bots rather than fixing things that benefits them. And fix the wishing well to not only stop glitching and only granting wishes once per day instead of twice, but also do something to stop bots from being able to spam it.

Between the Varwolf plot being frustrating and once again giving a huge advantage to the bots with the abysmal drop-rates of the foods, the void plot constantly being paused, and for what because it certainly wasn't to put any time and effort into the sadvent calendar... and the constant "buy NC, get Premium, give us money, buy buy buy" while the site remains in a horrible state, they're going to need to do a whole lot more than this if they want me to celebrate them.

But the r100 thing is a start.

Fixing the site should be top-priory at all times, not releasing a million NC tokens and capsules and fixing one glitch per year while more glitches keep happening. "BuT TnT NeEdS MoNeY" Yea, fix the site first, make it fun and playable again (for EVERYONE, stop this P2W nonsense!!) and trust me, people will happily want to support it and more money will start pouring in in no time. It may cost them a little to invest in fixing things but they will easily make it back if the playerbase is happy and WILLING to support. Making people feel forced to spend money in order to have "fun" or a fair chance at anything is not the way to go. It's doing the exact opposite. I've seen many people cancel Premium because the

Post got cut off it seems, didn't tell me there was a character limit.

I've seen many people cancel Premium because they're sick of TNT's greed and not seeing the money go back into the site, and I will soon be one of them.

Ok, rant over xD
by biediep on December 9, 2025 1:14 PM NST
What @biediep said! 🙂‍↕️👍 You can't force people to be appreciative when this team has done 99 thing badly and greedily and 1 thing right (although not completely because... yeah, bots. It's pointless to fix something that will stay broken because of another major problem: the bots).
by silvia on December 9, 2025 1:38 PM NST
And yeah, I'm helping bumping the /~Paywalled movement as we speak and many cancelled premium and committed to not purchase any nc... the numbers on the petition page are rising too. We ARE sick and tired of this team's constant greed.
by silvia on December 9, 2025 1:39 PM NST
Omg finally. I'll probably never get one but that's cool nonetheless
by cuddlytoaster on December 9, 2025 1:41 PM NST
lmao you can't even rs an r88 stamp legitimately in the current economy because of how many botters and autobuyers they are but sure let's hand people like riven/irfan and few hundred more dollars instead of releasing the r100s the way we already have that allows all players an equal chance of obtaining them

this was one of the worst possibilities of tnt "improving" and an absolutely tone deaf decision. it's hard to feel bad for the site being used to make grifters ludicrous amounts of cash when they feed it to them willingly
by palladian on December 9, 2025 3:06 PM NST
whoa!!! i honestly didn't think this was ever gonna get fixed, i assumed this would be a peak "code's too messed up" type of problem.

by archangel11891 on December 9, 2025 5:18 PM NST
@biediep Completely agree. Like, yes, it's good that they fixed this glitch. But how much sooner would they have fixed it if they weren't so distracted with designing pop ups? Or other ways to try to get more money out of me (and I say that as a person who's been paying for premium for .... awhile). And seriously, what's up with the ghost notifications? I had sorta gotten over my annoyance with them, but then you mentioned it, so now I'm annoyed again, lol.
by snowfallkahlan on December 9, 2025 6:16 PM NST
Commenting to the botters matter:

I mean, how can one celebrate If this being good for the common player means It's potentially good for the botters, anyway

We are just...... being notified about some goodies that are out of our reach, so It still equals to nothing x(

The power this site has over some of y’all’s emotions is crazy lol. TNT is darned if they do and darned if they don’t.
by eravilan on December 9, 2025 7:47 PM NST
"But how much sooner would they have fixed it if they weren't so distracted with designing pop ups?"

Hey, I like, don't mean to be a jerk but like... you, you do realise that the people who design things and the people who fix bugs are totally different people, right? That aside from the NC mall overhaul, *most* of the stuff the bug fixers have done *aren't* NC related? Like, they get the avatars back in circulation, they fix the bugs, they program the games, they reinstate the random events, and so on. They have no control or input on the design in all likelihood.

Outside of the mall revamp, and the programming to add new premium perks, the latter of which I would guess is not very time consuming and once it's done once it can be standardised for future events with little if not no programming knowledge, the staff that handles bugs is pretty unrelated to making the site any form of sales.

And, like, no offense, as someone who is a 95% free player but has bought a little NC over the last year and a half so not completely free, I would *much* rather they get the NC mall stable so that my real world money doesn't get trashed. Like as annoying as it is to say, lose an item in the TP (which may be fixed with the upgrade, but I think that's yet to be seen), it's *way* worse for me to lose my real world money because the old mall was made of glass shards and a failed dream. I'll totally be angry if my item is lost, but losing the IRL dosh would be worse.

"you do realise that the people who design things and the people who fix bugs are totally different people, right?"

I know you're right, yet at the same time it makes me wonder what the bug fixing people DO all day then, because they rarely fix anything. How long has the Trudy notification been broken for?? Months? A year? Longer? Seems like a simple enough fix?! The ghost notifications can't be THAT hard to fix? Yet has been an issue for just as long? King Skarl has been broken for MONTHS for some people??

The "new" layout is YEARS old and barely half the site has been converted yet and the one time they finally converted another page (Premium Vending Machine) they threw themselves a whole fanfare with a pop-up announcing it, making it sound as if the whole machine got updated when in fact, nothing changed, the page just got converted. Congrats. At this rate the whole site will finally be converted by 2080.

All I'm asking is that they put the site FIRST, which they very clearly don't. It's all NC and mobile apps and merch and anything but the site, and IF the site gets new content / updates, it's to try and shove Premium down our throats.

It's not that they're "darned if they do and darned if they don't", I WOULD be praising them if they did this stuff on a regular basis. If they'd at least AKNOWLEDGE all the bugs and say they're working on them and communicate like "hey sorry guys, this seems trickier to fix than we thought but we're working on it" or SOMETHING... but instead 90% of the "news" we get is about new NC items, along with the occasional spotlight winner.

If they genuinely put time, effort and love into the site to actually make it fun and playable again, for everyone, I would happily keep supporting them. They don't have to be amazing at it. It's okay if they fail here and there or make mistakes, as long as they TRY. But the constant greed is so much louder than anything else.

Loving people calling us toxic for complaining rightfully about a broken site that is turning p2w while showing off their perfectly toxic positivity, btw. 🤦‍♀️

Loving toxic people wanting a company to give them free stuff and not make money to keep the site running. Keep it toxic, btw.
by eravilan on December 10, 2025 6:59 AM NST
I dunno what the complaints are for - this is a great fix! Yeah the bots will get stuff but that's nothing new. More importantly more of each of these items will slowly trickle into things. Also hey, this one isn't anything with caveats of 'premium members get ___' so it's just a quality of life improvement for the site.
by verdego on December 10, 2025 7:16 AM NST
@eravilan you're putting words into our mouths we didn't say, nor actions. We DON'T want free stuff. We don't want to see everything payealled. They are DOWNGRADING the f2p experience CONSTANTLY now. You can go around playing the game only If you're premium these days, We're complaining about THAT, not because we want free stuff. I'm not surprised to see your lack of understanding, though, tnt apologists tend to not see any problem at all as long they don't have a problem with something. =w= Also TNT isn't doing badly financially, they themselved stated they're not in the red anymore. There's literally no need for this... this desperation in trying to milk their users of money like that. That isn't common sense and trying to sustain the site, it's just PURE GREED. And If you don't see this, man, I can only with you well.
by silvia on December 10, 2025 7:52 AM NST
@silvia Just because a company is not in the red does not mean they aren't suffering lmao weelcome to economics 101. Anyway, if you hate the game this much maybe you should move on to another game. This is the direction TNT is choosing to go, either accept it or don't, but they've CLEARLY shown they are not changing their ways regardless of the fit throwing that seems to be happening. F2P in ANY game always gets the lesser experience, if you can't realize that then, I wish you well also.
by eravilan on December 10, 2025 7:58 AM NST
No one is asking for free stuff and you know it. We're asking for the site to finally get the love and attention it deserves, which this TNT promised to do when they first started. I already addressed the "BuT TnT nEedS moNeY" argument in my first post. If you want to make (more) money, make the product (in this case game/website) good, fun, fair and FUNCTIONING so that people are WILLING to support it and spend money on it. Not spam us with ads to buy your stuff while the site remains a complete mess.
The whales spend more than enough to cover the costs of fixing a few bugs, I'm sure!!

If it means they need to stop making new content to focus on everything that's broken first, PLEASE do!

We're not complaining because "we hate the game". We're complaining BECAUSE we (used to) love it and because we hate to see it neglected and fallen apart and turned into a P2W / P2P cashgrab mess with a TNT that only seems to care about what they can monetize next.

I can't speak for everyone but for me, Neo has always been a huge part of my life. I've logged on for literally every single day the past 19 years, (minus ONE weekend because I lost internet), which is almost 2/3 of my entire life. I've been Premium for almost that entire time and I used to spend a lot on Neocash, back when Neo was still FUN. I used to support Neo whenever I could. But this TNT is sucking all the fun out of the site, paywalling EVERYTHING, turning everything into a cash grab, and taking every opportunity they can to shove Premium and NC down our throats and that is NOT a TNT I want to support by giving them my money.
by biediep on December 10, 2025 9:30 AM NST
If they genuinely showed that they cared by actually focusing their attention solely on fixing and improving things, even if it means we won't get any new content for a while, if things would actually improve, and they stop with the constant blatant greed and making everything P2W, I will happily support them again. Heck, if Neo was still as fun as it used to be, I would've probably gotten Premium on a side by now.

If they'd at least TRY to do something about the bots, even if the bots would find workarounds, at least show us you're TRYING... But every decision they make seems to *benefit* the bots more than anything. Sometimes I wonder if they're in on it :/
by biediep on December 10, 2025 9:35 AM NST
@eravilan yours is a poor argumentation, poor like your empathy and understanding of where the issue lies... I'm honestly starting to think you're just a troll trying to ragebaiting me. "Don't like it don't do x" feels like an excuse to walk away every time something that is NOT right happens. I care still, that's why I'm so vocal about it. And don't fear, I plan to leave neopets dot com by the end of this month if tnt still refuses to address it. I found a really pretty pet site called Mochia which I'm enjoying more and listen listen, it's totally f2p! As are neo clones, that have a "support" system that is optional only and are doing way better than retail neopets in term of fairness, updates, activities, etc etc... but sure... keep screaming at people voicing valid argument because you don't see a problem with it. 🤦‍♀️When the site dies because people want to be part of the problem, hopefully you'll be happy then. 🤡
by silvia on December 10, 2025 10:19 AM NST
Players literally said for ages that premium wasn't worth it and that TNT needed to add perks to make it worthwhile if they wanted people to actually subscribe. Then TNT adds perks, and players are mad about it. Pick a lane. That's what I'm calling toxic.

Also, "not wanting things paywalled" and "wanting free stuff" are literally the same thing. I'm not saying that F2P should have a bad experience - but wanting more stuff in the F2P experience is quite literally wanting more free stuff. Claiming it isn't is just lying.
by archangel11891 on December 10, 2025 12:15 PM NST
@archangel11891 Uh, no? Perks should be exactly that: perks, not stuff that gives unfair advantage over f2p players. Example... super shop wizard is a good perk. More time bonus in jhudora / illusen quests are not because that means only premium users will be able to get in the high score table. See the differences? We don't have anything against premium users getting perks, we are against "perks" that give unfair advantage and that makes the difference between f2p and premium users an abyss.

As for your second, totally biased & distorted from reality example... no? Not wanting people that pay to have unfair advantages on aspect of the game that were ALWAYS free from pay-to-win schemes isn't wanting free stuff. We want to be able to EARN things THOUGH PLAYING THE GAME versus having to pay real money to get ANYTHING at all. These days there are barely any activity to do in the game, most things are obtained through cash instead. So, pay to win.

Saying thing as you narrated them is just taking words and morphing them into something totally opposite to what we're saying to paint us as complainers as villains. Stop, please.

"Players literally said for ages that premium wasn't worth it and that TNT needed to add perks to make it worthwhile if they wanted people to actually subscribe. Then TNT adds perks, and players are mad about it. Pick a lane. That's what I'm calling toxic."

1: In my 19 years of Premium I've rarely heard any other actual Premium members complain they needed to add more perks. Us Premium users were happy with what we had.
2: The people who complained they wanted them to add more perks are most likely NOT the same people complaining now
3: IF they are the same people, it's because they meant QOL perks, NOT P2W perks.
4: It's the way they are shoving Premium down our throats every chance they get, as well as it being all P2W now.

I signed up for Premium back when all you got was SSW and no ads and I'd still be more than happy with that today. I hate how Premium gets stuff worth millions in their goodie bags now and exclusive prizes from events while QL is all junk now because they're saving the best stuff for Premium. I hate that Jhudora and Illusen HSTs have become P2W. I never asked for any of those things. I DID pick a lane and it's not this.
by biediep on December 11, 2025 2:52 AM NST
Also the fact that they expect us to pay full price for Premium on our side accounts when sides are only allowed to use like half of its perks, if that...

They should've definitely released a Premium Lite by now.
JUST the SSW and no ads and maybe the extra pet slots, for like 4,95 or something.
by biediep on December 11, 2025 2:59 AM NST
Hot take, neo has always been pay to win. I’ve been playing since I was a kid and never saw a glimmer of the progress I did since getting premium circa 2019. Even SSW and nerks at that point created a cavern between free and paid players. We can pretend the current iteration of tnt is uniquely greedy but they’ve been following the capitalist playbook all along.

brb, gotta go fire my workers in PT
by armyfromnothing on December 11, 2025 7:06 AM NST
@armyfromnothing not true. NC was werable only and premium was perks. Now they're monetizing things that were always f2p, such as the pet aspect of the site (with pet styles), high score tables, avatars, exclusive collectibles such as stamps, etc etc. I'm not complaining there are certain aspects that are premium only or pay to get in the game, I'm saying they're increasing such p2w content by removing chunks off the f2p experience. On top of that, the behaviour from the team (lack of communication / transparency, predatory tactics and unclear gacha mechanism) is harmful / unhealthy and displays a total lack of care or respect from the very users they are literally e-begging money from. Here (http://www.neopets.com/~Paywalled) it is explained better.
by silvia on December 11, 2025 8:03 AM NST
Silvia, was there a specific point in my post that is “not true” or do you just have an oppositional conversation style?
by armyfromnothing on December 11, 2025 8:41 AM NST
@armyfromnothing sorry If I sounded rude, I just meant neopets wasn't always pay to win. 🙂‍↕️ In the beginning there wasn't even nc. They relied on... immersive ads If I recall correctly? Then they made nc, but it was wearable only and sometimes event-only avatars. The excessive increase of paywalling content happened with the current team (pet styles, hts, etc etc).

Hey all--let's remember to keep it polite. If we need to give out repeated warnings, our policy is to remove your individual ability to comment on posts.

In particular, please consider the tone of your posts. People are allowed to like changes, and people are also allowed to not like them. What you're not allowed to do is attack others when someone doesn't agree completely with you on something low stakes like some silly game mechanics.

We've noticed lately that the comments here can devolve, no matter whether the post topic at hand is for something good or bad. There are certainly changes in Neopia that warrant complaints, but not everything is the end of the world, and it's a bit sad reading through the comments sometimes.
by dave on December 11, 2025 10:30 AM NST JN Staff
@dave yeah, probably I got a bit to heated there, sorry. I'll try to be less angry. I'm just sad and tired to be bullied on the site, to be told I'm poor, etc etc, and on here that people will make me feel in their comments what I'm complaining about isn't true or that it is irrelevant to them. I played this site since I was 14 - it was my escape from being bullied, helped me make some friends and kept me strong while I was going trough hellish experience in my life. To see it be made a circus in which users have to launch money at every attraction feels very personal. At this point, I think leaving after december ends will only do me good. It's sad to have to leave a site that was so significant to me, but I can't bear it anymore. There's just too much anger, rage and resentment left and no good things I can feel from it anymore. I won't be the only one to leave, too, and while I would never have wished for neopets dot com to sink, I ended up hoping it'll happen soon now. It'll be better that what this site has become as it is now. Hope you guys (ambassadors) will keep telling tnt that what they are doing is dividing and angering a large portion of the playerbase but I know they won't reply back.

Have a good life, everyone, and take care.
Be more emphatic.

I really keep hoping TNT will release a premium plan like the old alias thing; utilizing the NeoPass account linking; where if you buy it through NeoPass it gives all linked side accounts the 'alias' level of premium (SSW, extra slots, no ads, etc)

I am one of the NeoPass hold outs; as it's still not worth the hassle to me. (and kinda pissed off that I can't help my kiddo make her remaining allotted side accounts because of the requirement of NeoPass for new accounts. (not making a NeoPass for each of my 4 kids... just not.)

Also hoping that TNT will remember that so many of us are still here after all this time; NOT for premium/perks, but for the site, the pets; and they will fix the other glitches and broken features. ]=
by spicylife on December 11, 2025 6:00 PM NST
"Yet you participate in society. Curious!" is... not really the best argument, respectfully. People have a right to be upset about... all of this, honestly. I'm sad because Neopets appears to be in the midst of an irretrievable death spiral, but I've saved the PNGs of my favorite pets and am trying to convince myself to be ready to let it go.

So my big wish regarding all this is that they somehow manage to turn it around, but with all the alienation of free players, it isn't fun to play anymore and I'm basically sticking it out for the resolution of the plot and... that's it, really. Feature after feature is being en- (well the term has a curse word so I can't use it here but we all know what I mean) and things I'd log in just to do, like the quest log, aren't even possible with adblock making games not work, or some other issue... I don't want to be a doomer about it but what else can I say when it all looks so bleak?
