Happy Usul Day! Here's what's new for this species:

An accessory based on Gilly is now available over at Chesterdrawers' Antiques shop, along with a hauntingly befitting background from Mystical Surroundings:




The Coffee Cave is also celebrating with a new drink:


And lastly, a Pet Day mystery capsule is available at the NC Mall:






For the first time, ALL of these NC items may be worn by any species pet.

I'm appaled with how bad the 25th Anniversary Techo is. It's literally a Blue Techo with stars on it.

This information already blows, but they also released a completely viable and better 25th Anniversary Techo design a year ago in Tales of Dacardia! https://www.jellyneo.net/images/mobile/tales_of_dacardia/colours/celebration_techo.png It's actually a distinct shade of blue and it has something unique: A collar and bowtie that was neutered in favor of a very boring gift ribbon. Awful, why was it so hard to make the blue a distinct shade like the cornflower blue in the Dacardia one?

The only good thing is the Usul day capsule. Not too happy with the rest.

*sad trombone* this is a depressing Usul Day. No outfit, the 'candy' color that was full of opportunity is a hot mess of biscuit, Christmas and chocolate, and there's no consistency in the decoration lines on it so it looks chaotic and visually discordant. It's been a long time since there's been a pet day capsule I don't want a single item from.

The only upside is the anniversary Techo, which will actually be useful to me. The base color isn't exciting, but my Techo will love the accessories. I actually really like the bow tie. It will have a lot of uses.

Oh well. These pet days are always a roll of the dice, and at least we got some good things on Usuki Day.

The gingerbread usul is SO CUTE!! I absolutely love it. Will definitely play around with some xmas customs for this.

To be honest I find most anniversary pets are base colours or just kinda dull anyways, and im pretty sure theyre meant to be like that for nostalgia, I can also see why people don't like them though.

If this was a new paintbrush color I'd love it. But as it is? Definitely not candy, it's biscuit 2.0.

Also, only a handheld and bg, no proper np outfit? Still more than the poor tuskaninny got, but still....

If you look at the blue techo and the 25th techo side by side they are literally the same pet. They seriously slapped some stars on it and gave it a bow and balloons and called it good. Absurdly lazy

Honestly I think the candy usul is extremely cute, though I'm not a usul owner so I'll defer to them. Very sweet and seasonal.

Can't believe there's no new outfit though, just a couple of wearables that aren't even Usul-specific? I like the background but geez, they're really not beating the allegations about skimping out on pet days since they introduced the NC caps -_- Sad stuff.

Thanks to whoever mods the JN comments, I know it must be kind of a trudge through negativity lately lol. We appreciate you!

Hate this team. You can see and feel the lack of care for the usual content versus the pay to get one they want to shove down everyone's throats forcefully. Hate it.

Gotta love when these paint brush colours are totally off the mark from what colour they're supposed to be. The polka dot kacheek and kau were bad enough.

I'm not super crazy about how the sprinkles on the neck fluff are stylized but I really like the candy color, and I refuse to participate in gacha but I do really like all of the capsule items, I'm so glad they're wearable by any pet! Always glad to see more birthday pets too. I feel like people always say they're kinda meh but... idk, in a way I like that they're mostly a little subtle, they're fun to customize idk.

I didn't even notice that the NC cap doesn't contain any pet-specific items. So really, no pet-specific wearables for Usul Day except a poorly drawn lantern. Wow.

I'm happy for everyone who is excited for the capsule, but a Hot Topic theme isn't my thing.

I'm very conflicted on the Candy Usu. Cute idea, not the best execution imo. It just looks slightly "off"

making all items in the NC cap wearable by all species is a huge W. A lot of the items look like they'd work well with the current Kaia quest pool. I will continue to resist the urge to buy NC, though.

The 25th Anniversary Techo seems to be broken for me. If I try to remove the balloons or bowtie, the preview image is blank and the items vanish. Hopefully it's just a bug and gets fixed.

If the new Usul color was Christmas, it would be pretty cool. But candy? Nah, just biscuit with frosting and gumdrops.

Concerning the Anniversary techo...rather bland, imho. But then, I'm still annoyed that the actual Anniversary jubjub has crappy gradient "shading" but the Anniversary jubjub STYLE has lovely shading on the wings. :::headdesk:::
