TNT has posted their September update on a wide variety of topics over on the main portal site. This is a continuation of this style of update, which first started in May as a replacement for monthly AMAs.
The most notable update is confirmation that the Festival of Fears will be arriving on October 23rd this month! We expect this to simply be the traditional trick-or-treating event with a new hub to archive the story elements.
With that, let's get into a summary of this month's updates! (Note: there's a lot of content in the update that is "old news"—already recently reported on by JN over the past few weeks! We're going to skip the details on those and link our relevant updates instead at the end.)
Community Q&A
This month's Q&A is light, here's a summary:
- A block feature for the Neoboards is part of the Q4 plan.
- More stamps aimed at completing album pages are planned for the rest of the year.
- VPNs continue to be risky to use, as cheaters also use the same networks quite often and make it hard to distinguish from normal users.
- TNT has also acknowledged an uptick in account hijackings, and thus the account recovery process with support is getting a little stricter with higher wait times. They're working to improve the wait times, and a deeper update on account recovery is expected in the future.
In-Person Events Planned in New York
There were also some reminders about two fan meetups in New York that are happening this weekend:
- A "Scavenger Hunt Adventure" from 4:00-4:45pm at Bella Abzug Park in Manhattan on October 10th (tomorrow!). This would be concurrent with New York Comic Con, though not a part of that convention.
- A "Fan Meet Up" from 7:00-8:00pm at RetroGameCon in Syracuse on October 10th (tomorrow!). This will seemingly be part of the convention, and so require a ticket to attend.
NC Mall Plans
Apart from the usual mystery capsule and Dyeworks releases, TNT has announced that the NC Upcycle Fortune Cookie will be getting a prize update with "new and returning items."
No teasers for the next batch of Pet Styles were provided this time!
Upcoming Updates
TNT provides news on some anticipated updates:
- Most notably, the "Festival of Fears" is scheduled to arrive on October 23rd—which we believe to be the usual Trick-or-Treating mini-event, but this year with an expanded hub to make past stories and lore available for reading all year round.
- A "full page redesign" of the Trading Post with "streamlined trading features" is still in the design phase.
- The site-wide Varwolf event is in the design phase. (No date provided, but last time it was "November.")
