TNT has posted a lengthy update on a wide variety of topics over on the main portal site. This is a continuation of this style of update, which started in May as a replacement for the monthly AMAs, which ended in January.
With that, let's get into a summary of this month's updates! (Note: there's a lot of content in the update that is "old news"—already recently reported on by JN over the past few weeks! We're going to skip the details on those and link our relevant updates instead at the end.)
Community Q&A
Some of the responses were quite detailed, so we encourage you to read them in full. We'll summarize the ones with new information here:
Why weren't drop rates for capsules published alongside the NC Mall revamp? TNT states that they are still working to document accurate drop rates, then can display them at some point in Q3. A pity system will not be implemented due to the significant technical effort that would be required to update the NC Mall to support it.
When is TVW coming back? The Void Within will return on Monday, August 4, 2025.
What actionable steps do you plan to take to address transphobia in Neopets? TNT shares a four point plan to build on their April announcement: (1) reviewing and updating moderation policies, (2) clearer community chat guidelines, (3) retraining the moderation team and ensuring consistent enforcement, and (4) gathering community feedback on potential rule updates.
In-Person Events
TNT has (re)confirmed a few upcoming in-person events.
- Neopets will attend San Diego Comic-Con 2025 for the full weekend, including an offsite meetup.
- This coming August, Neopets will once again have a collaboration with tsun scoops in Garden Grove, CA. (You can read our recap of their original winter 2024 collab here!)
- From September 18, 2025, to February 8, 2026, Neopets will be featured among other iconic games in the ACMI Game Worlds exhibition in Melbourne, Australia.
