Acara Day Roundup

Today is the annual Acara Aquatic Festival, so it's time to celebrate Acaras!

Note, New Features hasn't updated yet for today, so there may be more coming! This is everything we could find so far.


Burlap

This seems to be based off of the Luxury Acara Plushie:

Over at Uni's Clothing shop, an outfit based on Granny Hopbobbin is available:



TNT has also completed the HTML5 conversion on some previous Acara pet day wearables as well, so they should now appear on your customisations again!


A new cologne is available at the Grooming shop:

I really like the colours and attention to detail in the Burlap paintbrush, but I kind of wish it was a little saggier or baggier (like a burlap sack).

the saturation is so high on it, it being just a bit darker would be nice...or just straight up an MSP color.

I like the idea but the execution wasn’t perfect. It’s neither the luxury acara plush it’s based on nor is it burlap.

So TNT can add a huge popup telling us to disable adblocker (HA not happening, it's hard enough to play with the ads that get around it as it is!) but they can't update the news? Every time they seem to do a little better, something gets worse.

As for the news itself... like others have said, that should have been an MSP paint, not burlap. Otherwise it's alright I guess.

Also, what is with the annoying circles on the Neopets homepage?
You know, the one at the top right just below your NP / NC and just above your pets?
Those used to only be for active events going on, but now they're basically just ads?!

Earlier the circle was like "buy our TCG set!" (uh yea, I literally can't, I'm from Europe)
And then it was like "Subscribe to Premium!!" (I AM. I've been a member for 2 decades...)
Get that garbage out of here :/

What have they done to Burlap? And, why? Spooky Burlap was the OG idea. Why the change? Is this what most people asked for? Well, not me.

It looks like an ice cream cone gone awry....the artists need to go back and look at the Burlap Quiggle.

Considering how they keep releasing repetitive pastel clouds and skies themed items (among others) for nc, I unfortunately think that many people must enjoy the change on burlaps, and turning everything cuter and rounder in general.

That aside, I'm always surprised on how TNT tries to please the players by doing something they asked for years, but never exactly in the way people want And it's not like they couldn't expand the MSP color and make the acara how it should have been, look how many standards they have broke lately (petpet wearables, essence pet styles...). Disappointing.

Wow, a very different Burlap pet! I like it, personally, I really like the Burlap Paint Brush colour, and I think they did a good job on this one to give it a home-made and well-loved look. It`s not as creepy as other Burlaps, and it`s the first blue one we`ve gotten, so kind of hoping they make the Acara unique and stick to the original brown material going forward. Love the missing button eye! The Vira themed capsule was good, definitely better than what poor Kaus got..
