Faerie Fragments Tia's Exchange Event Return + "Summer Sun Celebration" Prizes on Neopets.com

Faerie Fragments is back at it again with another set of varying participation prizes and an upcoming in-app event! An update blog went live on the Portal late last night with the details.

New Starter Rewards
From yesterday through July 24th, any accounts linked to NeoPass who complete Level 15 of the main story for the first time will receive two item prizes:


These rewards are not available to players who reached Level 15 prior to the promotion period. These will be awarded through rare item codes sent to NeoPass email addresses "within 4 weeks" after the promotion concludes.

New Referral Rewards
Neopets.com awards are once again being given for completing Faerie Fragments referrals. There are three item rewards available:

Summer Fun Usuki

Unlike the last referral promotion, there is no avatar reward. Additionally, referred accounts not only need to use your referral code, but also make it past Level 15 sometime from yesterday through July 24th. (Referral code redemption unlocks after Day 1 of the story, which itself only requires clearing Level 9.) These will be awarded through rare item codes sent to NeoPass email addresses "within 4 weeks" after the promotion concludes.

The app only awards prizes for up to 10 referrals, but referral codes do continue to work even after being used 10 times, though without any way for a user to track usage beyond 10. So, it's not clear if those who participated fully in the previous referral promotion will be able to participate in this one.

New Event
Starting on Thursday, June 26th, Tia's Seasonal Exchange returns for another event. Rather than collecting Bronze Coins from clearing levels, this event will apparently have you collecting Butterflies by activating them while playing in any type of level.


A leaderboard feature will also be returning for this event, but prizes expanded to the top 100 Butterfly-collecting accounts! (The previous event awarded only the top 5.)

51st - 100th:

Accursed Mittens

Like the previous leaderboard, TNT has vowed to provide updates "every 3-4 days" through the Neopets Portal.

why are they doing this referral crap again? It's just artificially inflating their numbers at this point. Not giving all prizes to current players it total bunk.

Wow I absolutely hate being locked out of prizes for new promotions because I completed everything in a previous promotional period. I'm not keen on these prizes, but it's like "sorry, we don't care about you now, all we care about is new downloads."

So nice for the people who are past level 15. I would never refer anyone to this game though. Took me 40 minutes to clear Tower. Reset error nine times and a visual glitch.

Requiring the referred accounts to go to Level 15 when there's no way to know if people you referred did so is such garbage Everyone hated the last referral event so why not make this one worse?

So sick of seeing all the stuff about FF when I can't even play it since the update in March. Neo should worry about either fixing the game so everyone can play it, or get rid of their mobile games. Also, why lock out existing players?

The FF team is very, very out of touch with player feedback it seems.

Being locked out of prizes because you're not a new player? Lame af. Also why are we doing this referral thing again when the game doesn't even track your total beyond 10? Very stupid. This event's leaderboard should be readily available in the app for all to see as well.

I don't see the added NeoPass requirement for referrals mentioned here but that's also a huge hit... can't even ask your IRL friends to just play the app anymore, they'd need a NeoPass to count for you

I started playing day one of the current run of Faerie Fragments, I dont think I ever got rewarded for playing or staying with it (it seems to have a very dying player base too as any time they have a something go on, or any whale challenges or such, no one else seems to play?). But even with the last round of gifts they did for new players, they never really focused on the people who played from the start or continue to play (unless its an event, which fine I guess). Same with premium Reward the new subs with these campaings, but not so much the ones who have been subbed (outside ofc, of just general sub rewards- but thats the intent of being subbed in the first place.) I dont understand why the rewards cant be applied to active players/active subs as well?

I see people saying the FF team, but imo, this is just normal general TNT team stuff as well; same MO just on a different game.

They aren't promoting the game, FF rewards not being given to existing players leaves a bad taste in the mouth for players who actually did invest time in it already.

I think I noticed that we still have to check on quest log first before attempting any mobile games quests didn't get any of the ToD quest checked even though I oppened quest log while I was playing It. Meanwhile, FF quests are done, but that's definitely because I had already checked quest log webpage

Welp, still have to check for Wheel of Prices, so.... (unless I have to worry about Quest Log maintenance, too )

Monday and tuesday QL worked for me. Today It did as well, but the only things not registering are only those quest related to ToD

I wonder If that also has to do with In-game quest rewards not arriving to neopass (I also wonder If me opening QL right at the start of the day [00:00 NPT] was a mistake, which Is rare of me since that's 3am for me...)

They should be fixing the app and stop wasting time on the events. Also leave it to TnT to slap people that been playing the game since day one.

I have completed all levels x3 and now it won't let me play the champion levels anymore. Only the tower.

Staci just restart the client it'll revert back to whatever re-level you were on, but it's painful as it bugs out like that every 1-2 levels for me, along with boosters and gold disappearing. IDK about anyone else but this is an exceedingly painful update.
