Last night, the Faerie Fragments mobile app went down for maintenance around 7pm NST. Today, an update has been released! This update includes a new event and a "Faerie Frenzy Quest" marketing campaign to earn rewards on Neopets.com.

New Event
This update launches the app's Tia's Seasonal Exchange Fyora Day event (not to be confused with January's Tia's Seasonal Exchange event), which runs from today through June 19th.

The event is similar in mechanics to what we've seen before. Clear levels, complete daily quests, collect Bronze Coins, and earn in-app prizes, including more "Fragments" to unlock Ascor. There is also a paid event track with additional prizes for $6.99 USD (this will increase to $9.99 in the last two weeks of the event).

You can also earn an exclusive item prize on Neopets.com. If you have NeoPass connected and earn 3,000 Bronze Coins during the event, you will earn a new exclusive book, as well as an entry into a raffle for one of five Super Attack Peas!

Further, you can even guarantee yourself a Super Attack Pea...with a lot of work! The one player who collects the most Bronze Coins during the event period will win a Super Attack Pea.


New Starter Rewards
From now through June 19th, any new accounts linked to NeoPass who complete Level 23 of the main story will receive two item prizes:


These rewards are not available to players who reached Level 23 prior to the event. These will be awarded through rare item codes sent to NeoPass email addresses 3-4 weeks after the event concludes.

Referral Rewards
Neopets.com awards are now being being added for completing Faerie Fragments referrals. There are three item rewards available:


Additionally, there is a "NEW Exclusive Avatar" for completing the maximum 10 referrals allowed by the game. It is not specified whether this refers to a Neopets.com avatar or an in-app Faerie Fragments profile icon, which are also referred to as "avatars" and a frequent prize from app events. However, the shape of the preview image (see below) and the fact that the other referral prizes are for Neopets.com suggests a Neopets.com avatar. If we hear otherwise, we'll let you know! Note that referred players do not need NeoPass connected to use your referral code. They simply need to complete Day 1 of Chapter 1 of the story, which requires completing at least 9 levels.

These rewards are awarded to players who reached these referral thresholds prior to the event, in addition to those who reach them during the event. These will be awarded through rare item codes sent to NeoPass email addresses 3-4 weeks after the event concludes.


Other Updates
There are new Neopets.com Rewards Achievements and Game Rewards Achievements for using Tia's ability and for conquering Tower Mode levels. Progress on these achievements is not retroactive! We'll have these added to our Item Database as soon as they show up on the site.

There is also a new "Welcome Gift" available in the Store for $1.99 (or equivalent local currency) that includes 1,000 Coins, 30 minutes of infinite lives, and an exclusive in-app wings wearable. The "Lavish Gift" option is also on sale for $29.99 (reduced from $39.99) with a limit of 5 purchases.
