Tales of Dacardia "Donation Dome" Login Calendar + Upcoming Event

Yesterday, Tales of Dacardia released an update in preparation for a Battledome-themed event "Donation Dome" which will begin on Monday, May 26th. Today, however, the Donation Dome daily login calendar has launched. It includes 14 days of prizes but will be available for 21 days, through June 11th.

There is also a short introductory quest to repaint the town plaza for the Donation Dome in preparation for the event.

A selection of Battledome-themed (and other) items are also now available as part of bundles at the Pearly Parlour, along with a new paid Crabby Capsule featuring Petpet-themed items.

Burlap, Patchwork, and Camouflage Paint Brushes and a Cobblestone Paint Roller have been added to the Premium Parlour. (These colours are not available on all species, so double check the previews before purchasing!)

Finally, there's announcement of another Donation Drive style event beginning on Monday, May 26th. The announcement says it will last for 14 calendar days through June 8th, though announcements for previous Drives have been inaccurate about end dates; we'll know for sure when it's live on Monday!

Anyone feel like they're running these donation style events way too frequently? It feels like every single event is like this now... it's kinda boring.

Anybody know what types of omelettes are worth more points?? Or are we going to find that out in the app somewhere before the event kicks off?

Seems like they are making a new "exclusive avatars" for people referring other people in playing their APP games... hate this. Hope it doesn't count towards avatar score. I have a cheap phone just for calls, not for games, can't (and won't) play these apps and don't care about them... in-site exclusive content and collectibles shouldn't be linked to apps. :/

@usurpagreen They have not stated anywhere, we'll have to wait until the event starts!

That said, in past donation drives, the daily limit has been the same regardless if you use bonus items or not. The bonus items just help you reach that daily limit with fewer items, and so aren't actually that useful or important if you have enough of *something* to hit the limit each day.

Can we get the rest of the map opened up? Or a new chunk? How many years has this game been out/in developement now? The beta of 'Island Builders' was the same island, same characters, same story, same assets and we had almost the entire island's areas to expand into and that was so many years ago. They're starting to take the biscuit with an event every week as that's clearly raking in the cash but they're not using the money to expand/improve the fundamental map, they're just using it to churn out more and more buyable cosmetics - typical Neopets business model.

We're not even at the stage of opening up a new part of the map. In terms of the Island Builders story, we're still yet to even get Skippi Snipps in the first area, *then* solve the initial mystery around who is hiding in the mine, only then did we get a new area unlock. And after that, we get the jungle area unlocked and rebuilt, *then* solve the mystery around pirates, *then* get the plateau area unlocked and rebuilt, *then* solve Zerix's problems, *then* build the mountain monument before we're caught up enough to think about the desert or volcano areas being added.

We're realistically decades off getting to the same story progression Island Builders had at this rate.

I do wish they’d put more focus on regular story updates, or at least changes that introduce more evergreen content that is meaningful. The events are good, but have been getting repetitive.

I do wonder if they’ll take the story in a different direction than the old Island Builders. Herdy’s explanation of all the missing content and areas assumes we are following the same storyline.

They have succeeded in making me loathe and dread this game and everything about it.

Of course it's totally my own self-inflicted pain for still playing, but yeah, these donation things are so tired and far too frequent and as Herdy so eloquently said, this is going at a pace that makes snails look like Mario Andretti.

Same with Faerie Fragments. Could we please get a bit of breathing time between these events? They're happening too frequently.

Thanks Kenny for the omelette reply. It's just they suggested hoarding the right types before the event starts but don't tell us which types. Oh well!
