Yesterday, Tales of Dacardia released an update in preparation for the Easter-themed event which will begin on April 21st. Today, however, the Easter daily login calendar has launched. It will run through May 9th.
There is also a short introductory quest to repaint the town plaza for the Festival of Neggs in preparation for the event. Special coloured Neggs are awarded for completing it, which are also available from debris piles (rarely) for the time being.
Additionally, the Wheel of Prizes has been refreshed. Now, many of the segments that previously awarded in-app items will now award Neopets.com items to those with a linked NeoPass.
A selection of Easter-themed items are also now available at the Pearly Parlour, along with a new paid Crabby Capsule themed to the season. The Plushie Paintbrush has been added to the paid shop, along with the return of the Cybunny Neopet unlock (which now comes with an exclusive paint colour themed after a Lindt Bunny).
There's also a new character present on the shore, Captain QuickFinger. That feature isn't yet live, however, and will be activated along with the rest of the Easter event on April 21st.
Note: This update has also introduced a bug where the app's Photo Mode is largely inoperable. All buttons to change poses and filters are greyed out, which means if you get a daily quest that needs you to use one, you currently cannot complete it. Also, it appears if you take a photo, then any actions in the game after the point will not be saved when you reopen the game. It is advised to not use Photo Mode at all until this is fixed.
