Several Site Features Inaccessible Due to Profile Glitch

UPDATE, ~2:43 PM NST: It appears to be fixed already. Huzzah!


It's not just you! Starting around 1:55pm NST, several important site features are currently inaccessible due to a glitch. These pages insist that a gender is not specified on a user profile, even when it is.


You wouldn't know it, but this screenshot is of the Food Shop!

This is affecting all users, whether they are linked to NeoPass or not.

The list of known pages affected are:
  • Main Shops (shops where you haggle with the shopkeeper). Other shops like the General Store and Healing Springs are still functional, if you need to finish your Quest Log purchasing task!
  • Games Room (though individual games accessed through direct links still are fine!)
  • Battledome
  • The Coincidence
  • Apple Bobbing

And i can not change the language. Now they have turn it back to Netherlands but i wil have English that is better but let me do that grr.

Still cant change the language and cant play not al the games now because it dont work on Netherlands. This is not fun anymore all the glitches.

While they're at it they should stop using biological sex as gender!

@coolgirlmegan pet names need to be in all lowercase during the transfer process. This is a longstanding issue not related to today's glitches.

It looks like pet home pages and also galleries are not rendering pictures from outside sources. I know it’s probably low on the totem pole, but I hope it gets fixed.

@nobody - re: changing language from male/female/other to boy/girl/other or man/woman/other, i'd argue that's a lot less age-neutral. i know a lot of us these days are adults, but just because we're not hearing directly from kids (COPPA, parental rules, etc) doesn't mean there *definitely* aren't any, you know? i wouldn't want to label myself a boy, and i doubt a young boy would want to label himself a man. i think any set of words is an imperfect solution here unfortunately

idk if i could have it my way (my own gender is more complex than just male, but that's still my baseline, i don't want to be neutral 'other'ed) i'd say just let us type our own answers and choose titles independently of that - the gender that should appear on our profile, the titles characters like the banker should use, pronouns, etc - but that comes with its own problems for some people, especially if you can only choose one at a time rather than have (for example) a random selection from multiple, and complicates the profile customisation + character dialogue process on both ends.
