Today's New Features update brings an update about the state of the Void Within plot. Previously, TNT has said that the plot would be returning around Q1 of 2025, which ends at the end of this month.
Due to the time spent on Quest Log adjustments and new Premium perks, that timeline is now delayed. The only promise now is the plot returning "within the coming months".

Hello, Neopians! Thank you for your patience and understanding as we revamp the upcoming chapters of the Void Within plot. We’ve made phenomenal progress, and although we were hoping to resume the story around this time, new priorities such as Quest Log adjustments and adding value to Premium have set us back a bit. Due to these delays, we will need a little more time to ensure the plot is the very best it can be.
We apologize for not being able to return to the plot as soon as we were originally planning and hope that you can sit tight just a little while longer. Our goal is to have the plot ready to start back up within the coming months, and we will be sure to release updates as soon as we can share a finalized return date with you!
