New Birthday Colours

Several new colour combos debuted yesterday for the Neopets 25th birthday celebration!

First up, a brand new 25th Anniversary colour is now available for 5 species! The paint brush is a possible prize from the new Wheel of Celebration.

A matching colour for Petpets is also now available in four species!

Finally, a new Lutari and Techo are also now available.

Does anyone else think the Petpet colours look very different from their usual art styles? You can quite clearly tell they were drawn by different artists.

i'm guessing more anniversary colors will be releasing throughout the next year(s)?

surprised they didn't at least get all the converted species done for what they had released in alt styles (xwee, acara, etc.)

Weird the paint brush is named after the 25th Anniversary but they only released 5. So definitely no vandagyre 25thh anniversary hmmm.... ;;

LOL I love how all assume that it'll just be the 5 pets that gets painted, when we have the whole damn day, they could release more all day and all weekend

A little disappointed that the new PB is not an actual birthday paint brush. Also disappointed that the colour was not automatically released for all Neopet species (or at the very least for the species that have a corresponding NC style).

Also, as someone else mentioned, I don't love how different the Petpets look. A little change from the original art style is fine with a more dynamic pose but these look too different!

And yes, I also mistook the sponge Techo for 'cheese'.

I knew not all pets would have gotten an Anniversary colour but I hoped at least to have gotten Draik since it had a pet style

I love the Faellie. It is different from the companion, which is adorable, and that is helpful - no confusion! Have not gotten the 25th PPPB yet from the wheel, but I do have the PB. Really want a blue 25th Blumaroo. Guess I will be waiting...

The bow ties stick on the same way that those impossible gowns stick on beauty pageant contestants. Those pets likely have a small shaved patch of fur so it adheres.

The colour palettes in the anniversary pets are quite nice! (Rosh has a good point, though. How are the bow ties staying in place? Maybe there are small clip-on collars underneath their fur?)

The petpet designs do have a far different art style than their originals… But honestly, THE MEEPIT LOOKS SO CUTE!!! 💖

The Silver Lutari looks so shiny! 🤍 Now there are only five Silver pets left and the colour is complete! 👏😄

Silver Lutari is amazing. I'm of the opinion that all the Gold and Silver pets should be redone like this to give them a true metallic look.

The colors on these Anniversary pets are very nice. I do wish they all had wings, bows, AND balloons/party poppers. The petpets are cute, too. Definitely a different style from the others, though!

I also can't believe the Sponge Techo is finally released. XD So many fans are going crazy over it.

Olike +kay I am surprised with how much I am EATING the Lutari!! ;o; I love the shinier silver pets and this one is my latest fave!

Honestly sad we don't have a b-day Scorchio, considering how iconic they are like the Shoyru. Hoping to see a red one or purple one, maybe with a suit and tie - if not a tie. I'd rather a neck tie, though.

the petpets look fine, lol...
i don't know where most of you are getting the knock-off look. the only one that looks off is the doglefox... the meepit is just too large.

if anything i'd say a lot of the RECENT faellies look off. if you look at this anniversary faellie compared to the og blue: it looks practically identical style-wise; it's completely on-point... it's juni's artist whose style looks like fanart.

I really like the birthday colour and was wondering when we'd get it!

I for once actually really like the art on the petpets, I don't mind that it's different from other colors. I'm bummed that they only released 5 species for the pb though, hope they at least release the other species that got a NC style. And why is the color named "25th Anniversary" instead of just "Anniversary"? It would make much more sense if it'll be an annual release.

That's such an underwhelming celebration for 25 years, oh well... 5 species for us plebs and almost 20 for the p2w people, great! Not to mention all the unstable ad stuff for the wheel.

I really like the art on the petpets. It's fun and dynamic which makes them feel a little more special than just recolours. I'm sure the pets would have had the same if they weren't stuck in the converted poses. All the stylin' studios ones look great. I'm going to get myself the draik and faellie combo. And a kad too because I love the pose. Too cute!

With how many pets we saw in the Styling Studio, I thought they would be available in the paintbrush colors. Might be why a lot of people are disappointed. I also love the wings on some of the pets and wish more of them had the little wings. X3

The wheel blessed me with a PB on my first spin and i had to celebrate with a freshly painted Aisha! Hoping they'll release this colour for Eyrie some day! Love the Kad, the new art style is really cute

I liked the color, I thought it was pretty, I just didn't understand why the other neopets that got the color in the styling studio didn't get it as a normal color, I like to customize (even though I'm not good at it) so I prefer the normal one to the NC one, I hope the other species get it in the future even though the 25th anniversary has already passed.

I like how they already have the images of the other species for the 25th paint, like the Uni and Bruce, like...they had little cutouts and everything at the birthday event. So...like...maybe I'm silly but what's stopping them from just, uploading the images they have and putting in those species?
