The Wheel of Celebration is now live! According to the page, it can be spun twice a day from today (November 15th) to Monday, November 25th.

Separately, 1,000 NC is available for free by visiting the home page! Visiting the home page will award your account 1,000 free NC automatically. You can also do this on your side accounts! The free NC can take hours to be deposited into your account. It depends on how many other Neopians are in front of you in line. Have patience, you'll get it as long as you visited the homepage and clicked on that Claim button!

I had to disable my adblock, refresh the page to view the ad, then re-enable and refresh to get the wheel to reload. Probably an isolated issue (just seems a bit too silly) but folks having problems might give it a try.

Please do not create multiple accounts to use the wheel, as it unbalances the game. You are limited to spinning the wheel with one account per person. Using multiple accounts simply to gain Neopoints is not allowed and will result in freezing.

That's unfortunate but I had mixed feelings about it anyway.
Avatars should be earned, I'd much rather see them bring them back in some form where we can get another chance at earning them, than just getting them through pure RNG when others had to work hard for them. Someone suggested rewarding the "Site Spotlight" avatar for winning UL of the Week for example, since Site Spotlight has been retired for almost a decade.. and I think that's a great idea.

I'd like to say a little tip on how I got my first two 1k NCs today. I would click onto a non-beta page (namely the Classic Games Room) and then click the notif. After doing that on my main and one side, the NC popped up a while later. Maybe try going to a classic page and clicking the notif; It'll remove it and you should get your NC sometime after.

Though I tried to buy slots (one side says I have 7/10 available) and the Mall is giving me an error basically saying I can't? I honestly thought I had all my slots on this side, but why would the mall say that I had some left over if I didn't? Especially since I have no premium whatsoever.

I turned off my adblocker and refreshed and allowed audio/video on Firefox and it still wouldn't let me watch an ad for the second spin...so then I tried Microsoft Edge browser and it STILL TELLS ME TO DISABLE MY ADBLOCKER WHEN I DON'T HAVE ONE ON EDGE. Omgggggg, this is frustrating. I doubt I'd be able to watch an ad on FF on my phone even if I turned off my adblocker on there. This sucks. 😒 But at least I got the new avi on my first spin. 😌

To get the second spin to work, I had to log into my account on my phone, and then watch the ad. But I couldn't spin the wheel on my phone, so I had to log back into a desktop PC to then spin the wheel.

Tip for people having trouble with their adblocker - Incognito mode will not have the extensions that are installed in your regular browser, you can try logging in there to watch the ad

Yuck! I feel dirty turning off my adblock. I'd describe what it's similar to, but I want to keep this family friendly, sooo... I'll just leave it at that.

And what a surprise. It still doesn't work. Doesn't matter which browser I try it with or whether or not the scripts and other add ons I have are turned off, the ad loads but once it's down to 2 seconds, it freezes.

I can't use mobile because that's my work phone. No way I'm messing that up.

I normally wouldn't care to have just one spin, but the fact there's a limited time avatar involved (and potential NC items) is kiiiinda scummy. I didn't want to complain, but if the point is making it mobile only, that's ridiculous.

@go_bruce The wheel doesn’t work on my phone and the ad doesn’t work on my computer, some people have been able to spin twice by watching the ad on mobile then going back to the computer to spin. For me, the ad ends and stays there and if i refresh I have to watch the ad again without access to my 2nd spin

Okay, here's what worked for me- I spun the first time on Chrome, then went to Chrome on my ipad and tried to get the second spin to work, but had the same issue I was having on my laptop- the ad wouldn't load beyond 2 seconds. I switched browsers on my ipad to Safari and was able to get the ad to play there, but the wheel still wouldn't spin a second time. I made my way back to my laptop and just wandered back to the wheel and lo and behold, the wheel allowed me to do the second spin. So it's going to be a roundabout and clunky way of getting two spins, but it can be done.

what worked for me to get the 2nd spin (firefox, pc) was turning off the built in tracking protection, should be a little shield on the left end of the url bar, click it, there's a switch.

i also had turned off privacy badger and ublock origin, but neither of those worked. turning off the tracking protection let me watch the ad and spin again

The AD doesn't work with me (firefox, PC). I turned off ADBlock, Noscript, the Shield on the left... Nothing! It only loads the black player which is stuck on 00:00 minutes. Play button doesn't work.

I was able to get the ad to PLAY in chrome, but then the wheel entirely refused to work/load at all, so I don't think it initiated correctly, and I noticed no prize in my inv. I'll check back later and see if they fixed it! It didn't work whatsoever in firefox, with or without adblock.

Ok I found a working solution to the extra spin thing from the Neoboards.
I just downloaded Opera, turned on Incognito Mode and turned on the built-in VPN and changed location to Americas (so it put me, somewhere in the US, rather than Canada) and (after admittedly a couple page refreshes) did finally manage to get an ad to play for me to watch. And then got my second spin.

Okay, for people that can't get to load the advertisement, install a VPN (I use Opera's built-in VPN) to load the advertisement, it takes 10-30 seconds to load, but usually does so.
If it freezes at the end, wait like 5-10 seconds for a 'x' button to appear in the right corner of the video, it will count as finished video.

"Thank you for reporting this issue with the Wheels, and we apologize for the inconvenience. Please rest assured that the programmers are aware and are actively investigating. We hope they can work out a fix soon.

sidenote: I had already tried most of the suggestions, and afterwards even downloaded the loathed Chrome, which didn't work, and then Opera, which as mentioned also didn't work. The best result I got on my phone in desktop mode, where the nintendo mario ad at least played but still didn't reward anything.

I don't have HolaVPN and am not familiar with it, so not immediately willing to download it. It seems the paid version of Opera's VPN =might= have the option to choose location, but I'm mostly finding info that no, Opera doesn't offer this functionality.

It's time for me to go to bed anyway, so I guess no second spin for me today. I hope either the devs or the community will have found a solution tomorrow! I find it disappointing that so many including myself are missing out on possibilities for some really great prizes! It's hard to not be cynical about the bugginess. Which is a shame, because I think the Wheel was a good idea and has some lovely prizes, they clearly made an effort to make it exciting.

Okay, sooo... I did manage to get the second spin to work with a bit of tinkering. Annoying, considering everything... but here's what I did/have.

- Used Brave (a chromium browser), was in private windows, shields down, add-ons temporarily disabled, script killers/javascript blockers and what-not temporarily disabled, popups and notifications turned on, also sandboxed (sandboxing isn't necessary, but this is for my own security).

- I did NOT use a VPN. I am from the US. I'm using Linux Mint (which I was worried was the issue, turns out it's not).

- I noticed when inspecting elements that there were many errors and depreciated things related to the ad's code. Notably, the mini timer has the (now obvious) issue where it stops after 2-3 seconds. The message: ad_firing not recognized appears. Now, if you know what you're doing, you could fiddle with the code in there. I noticed that a notification pops up saying that Neopets wants to install a Google-based movie viewer for animations to work properly (I forgot the exact name). I did NOT install it! I wouldn't recommend installing that. But, the X in the upper-right hand corner appears immediately when that pop up happens, allowing you you escape the ad and it counts as viewed.

- But, the easiest thing to do is just wait for 30-60 seconds for the X to appear on its own. There's about a 75% chance of this happening. If it doesn't happen, hard refresh and try again.

I don't know why we have to waste our time doing this. It should JUST WORK! XP LOL

@woodstocki what you described is exactly my situation. Mario ad plays on mobile ONLY. I also tried all this clear cache, on chrome

...not very well-versed at computing science but when I put in developer mode...lots of error popped up upon clicking the play ad including something about insecure iframe...I think I'm not gonna try any VPN business or turn off anymore than an adblocker (which was not even on).

Maybe i'll be less salty about the wheel if they bring it back annually. But the FAQ says...maybe

I feel really upset because there were people who had 2 spins daily and had great prizes (like avatar + PB + PPB...like I cannot believe it). I would feel more balanced about this if I could at least get some NC wearables...I feel like opening I'm opening a mystery giftbox capsule...always crap items and never any limited edition items.

I was finally able to get a second spin. Here's what I did: Installed the opera browser, which I intend to use for nothing else. Researched free, reliable VPNs with the option to choose your location, I ended up installing Privado. (Which btw would not load on my normal browser, firefox, but did in opera), set the location to Miami, USA. Logged into Neopets, went to the wheel, got an ad that seemed to freeze at 2 seconds left, but when I just waited for the whole video to play, I could click the X and get my second spin.
The connection through Privado is slow, but it works. I cannot necessarily vouch for all of this being the best or safest options, but this is what I went with and worked.

I got my 3rd 25k NP prize for my troubles

Got the petpet paint brush yesterday, and the stairway to the stars BG this morning though, so not exactly complaining.

Sidenote, I got my 1000 NC sometime yesterday.

I clicked on the homepage 11/16 at 11pm and now its 11/18 at almost 9am. Still no NC.

Nearly a day later and I STILL have not received my NC, claimed it yesterday and even got a notification of being received.. yet nothing. Concerning!
