Baby Wearables Re-Release and LE Mystery Capsules

A new re-release mystery capsule has debuted in the NC Mall! This capsule includes items wearable by Baby-coloured Neopets over the years.

This capsule also comes in two different bundles that give a lower per-capsule price:

All capsules received in the bundles are the re-release capsule.

Baby Back to School Mini Mystery Capsule has no bonus item (because it is a mini capsule) despite the item description says otherwise. TNT needs to step up their game, especially when dealing with items that cost real money like this.

I really like the pet skins, but I'd much rather if they were released via mystery capsule. Makes me want them a lot less.

I feel like there's a chance TNT saw me re-skin my baby Draik to be brown on his petpage. I messaged Alice about not purging the valuable petpages and cited my directory. Given this timing, I can't help but wonder if I inspired them :3

They already had baby body paints before this, they must have sold well enough to warrant more.

Ohh! These new baby paints make me think of Halloween and/or Autumn.

Now, maybe I can make a swirly blackhole baby!

But yeah, I wish they weren't in gatcha capsules.

Uhm, the names of the baby paints show a real lack of cultural sensitivity... even calling them "skins" is also kind of cringey... kind of shocked that no alarm bells rang with names like "black baby" and "white baby"

The names are consistent with the older baby body paints. I don't think there's much more to read into it

Interesting to note that they only call pets Shadow when referring to their color, but all petpets are called Black when referring to their color. I guess baby pet skins are equivalent to petpets now? I guess they don't really call wearables "shadow" either, so I don't really know the logic behind either. Wish they kept it consistent using one word or the other.

Either way, the new skins look great honestly, no losers this time around unlike last time (green was blindingly bright). Didn't think they'd go with such a muted/pastel orange, but it looks really cute, so I definitely want to grab that one the most (2nd favorite color).

Oh, as for the new back to school baby items, the blanket and plushie item is simply the best and cutest. Can't go wrong with the juice box either, and the BG and blocks are good if you're going for that type of thing.

Will add that while I love the finger paints on some pets, on the pets with no discernible "fingers" or "toes" of any kind, the glob of paint on their "nubs" looks pretty hilarious. The outfit is cute too, just wish the hat was more rounded up top and had a shorter brim, more akin to those irl.

@sakibou TNT wants to do a purge of low value accounts and a lot of pets to free up space. This will free up tons of names for people to grab. I expressed worry to Alice that valuable petpages would get purged in the process.
