Something has happened... The Void Wyrm is available in the Battledome!

In a surprise turn of events a new Battledome opponent has been spotted in the Central Arena! Unfortunately it is deVoid of challenge, with it capping out at only 150 difficulty.

Currently it seems unlinked to any plot waves, however, this may change at any time. It gives 3,000 NP per victory and at least two new prizes, one of which is a new weapon.

Additionally during the last week we saw another new unrelated weapon released: a new Brightvale Scroll.

Update:The opponent and connected hospital shift is now available in the plot, fighting it directly in the dome appears to award no plot points

I would like it if there were more challenging opponents to fight, especially as so many high-end battledome items have been released. I dislike how much of a chore (rather than something that actually requires strategy) that the Battledome component of the plot has been so far.

They'll probably release new battle challenges tomorrow and The Void Wrym was released early. I loved the look of it, btw. From what the teasers indicate, the next location affected by the grey curse is Neopia Central

Disappointing to hear it's so easy to beat. Especially when it looks like THAT.
I was looking forward to the BD component of this plot the most, but because of the non-existent challenge it is 100% just a chore.

Weird, on the challenger selection screen, the max HP displays as 150, but in the battle, it has 190HP

Fought him three times...rewarded with 2 @ Voidberry Brucicles and Doughnut Holes...first three fights of the day so not maxed out...beat him on all three levels...

We're gonna joke around about the void snowager is just a wish.com knockoff, but here's hoping they look at that and then end up dropping the void monoceraptor from the other timeline on us or something.

Difficulty does not always equal hit points in the regular dome. They are often different.

I already fought all my battles for today, but I whacked the Snowager's void-coloured sibling 10 times anyway. No telling why it's there but beating it feels good. Keep training, y'all.

Ah, I wish it was a challenger for plot related points and not a regular battler (for now, at least). I'll still prefer to fight the normal Snowager because he at least has a chance to drop Frozen Neggs.

It’s nice to have an easy bd opponent who gives a lot of np. Convenient for being able to quickly hit the 50k daily bd max after finishing plot battles.

New Reserve Barrack gauntlet. Two Voidlings and a Void Snowager. Worth 30 plot points.

Yeah, sticking Battle over Brightvale II. Easier to get the daily 200 this way. Plus, I'd rather go with something with a higher not-Voidling-to-Voidling ratio.

Who is going to be surprised when Nyx' brother ends up being the mysterious Grey Yurble who's been the cause of this problem. Nyx hasn't been gone for a few weeks, she's been gone for decades. He's grown up all disgruntled and takes out his state of mind on all of Neopia.
Sorry for potentially spoiling the story for everyone, but it's taking too long anyway XD

On the topic of new battledome waves. I did 5 x 3 waves of the new option, then one more of 5 waves from Brightvale II (easier plot points). It said I got 15 and capped my points, which is the same visual glitch as before.
I do have a random bonus 10 points though..

Once I found out it was only giving 30 plot points, I just went back to the 5 wave Void fight to make this go faster.
Also, I want Kiko Lake to suffer for stealing my 200 dubloon months ago!

Great, it broke the Rewards page.
Neither my 10 Void essence collection points for today nor my battling points show up on the Rewards page. I refreshed a couple of times, closed the window and deleted cookies, still nothing. Since the start of the plot I have kept a Word file and I list each time I do a task and how many points I have received for it, I also take a lot of screenshots, so between the two, I can tell that the points were not awarded.

Finally got my 10 Void essence collection points from earlier today – apparently not a good idea to play this right after midnight NST, the points don’t update! I just got the coin and the extra 100 points too.
My Battledome points from last night never came though

Okay so the new shirt is awesome looking but isnt actually wearable. Didn't get the new weapon (yet) but I'm sure I'll end up with it in a few days. LOVE the new opponent and I hope they release items to match! I want a Voidager (i hate the name wyrm) plush and omggggg mini petpets!

@lazylacey - Ihey're comparable in terms of total number of battles. The 5 wave, 50 point per battle ones require a total of 20 fights to complete the 200 points, while the 3 wave, 30 point per battle ones require 21 total fights to reach 200 points.

I personally find the shorter, quicker 3 wave battles much more enjoyable than the 5 wave ones because they don't feel as endless and tedious. I don't know if its a coincidence, but I'm also getting better prizes from the new ones. I got a ton of red codestones today, whereas previously I'd be lucky to get one red codestone after all my battling.

I did receive plot points for battling the Void Wyrm. My Void Cookie was still active when I battled it. On battle sets 1 through 3 I received 60(x2) plot points, 4214 NPs, and 5 items. On my 4th battle set I received 10(x2) plot points, 'you have reach the plot point limit for the day' notice, 4214 NPs, and items. On the 5th battle set I only received 4214 NPs. I then switched over to the Battle for Brightvale II (5 waves) battles so I could earn 8443 NPs instead of 4214.
