This appears to be related to the upcoming plot, as the image URL for Ellia's grey look contains
tvw—The Void Within is the announced name of the plot. However, the previously announced roadmap for events this year placed the plot as coming after the Altador Cup this July. It is unclear if the plot has been bumped up, if this is another teaser, or if the storyline of the upcoming Festival of Neggs will tie into the plot in some way (Grey Day is on April 14th).You may remember that the final scene of the plot teaser from last year's advent had an image of Brightvale looking decidedly grey:
