San Diego Comic-Con 2022

Neopets returned to San Diego Comic-Con following the COVID-19 pandemic in 2022 upon the event's return to San Diego. The event ran from Thursday, July 21st, to Sunday, July 24th. This year, Neopets ran a small section of the larger booth 929 run by their merch partner What's Your Passion (WYP) Jewelry.

This year, a freebie Upper Deck (UD) sample card of 9 Faerie characters was available at both the WYP and UD booths; it had previously been available at NFT.NYC as part of the Neopets Metaverse booth there. Additionally, this was also available at Upper Deck's own booth at SDCC, booth number 303.

This year, Neopets offered a selection of merchandise for sale. Classic plushies available during Viacom ownership were available alongside the new selection of plushies released in 2021.

Neopets offered a free giveaway of additional swag on each day by taking a picture of the booth and posting it to social media. At the time, the image of the Faerie Xweetok in the background (seen in the picture above) in a hot pink colour not normally available on site caused a stir.

Additionally, WYP Jewelry offered some convention-exclusive merchandise. Available was an exclusive SDCC Swag Gift Set that included a Rainbow Paint Brush pin and rainbow lanyard. Additionally, there were four new Neopet pins: Shoyru, Kacheek, Kougra, and Jubjub. All of this merch was also available as digital-exclusive pre-orders during the dates of the convention.
