Rank Calculator
The pop-up on the Colosseum home page is outdated and incorrect. It is still using previous year's game point values instead of this year's. We recommend doing your own math until this is fixed by TNT; see the table in the next section for accurate values.
To access your rank information, visit the Colosseum home page, and scroll to the "Your Stats" section. Click on the button in the top right corner of that section.
Click where it says Beginner, or your own rank!
The pop-up will contain the number of wins you'll need in each game to increase your rank. You do not need to play all of those games. They are simply the number of games if you were to only play that single game. We recommend playing a mix of the four Cup games.
Minimum Scores and Daily Limits

You must score... |
To earn... |
Max games per day |
Yooyuball |
Win or Draw/Lose with 1+ goals |
14 (win) or 6 (draw/loss) points |
29 |
Slushie Slinger |
270+ points |
10 points |
53 |
Make Some Noise |
2,700+ points |
3 points |
242 |
Shootout Showdown |
35+ points (1+ goal and 10+ seconds of playtime) |

This means that the most points you could possibly earn in a single day is 29*14 + 53*10 + 242*3 + 242*3 = 406 + 530 + 726 + 726 = 2,388
.
Ranks: 2024
Although there is no official rank beyond All-Star, extremely dedicated players will often talk about Double All-Star (4,950 * 2 = 9,900
points), Triple All-Star (4,950 * 3 = 14,850
points), and so on.
Reaching All-Star: 2024
There are many ways to reach All-Star ranking. Below we have a few suggestions of approaches you could take. You can follow these exactly, or modify them to your preferences! For example, if you wanted to play more Shootout Showdown instead of Yooyuball, you could just multiply the Yooyuball number by 14/3
.
"Proportional Mix" Approach
- 88 Yooyuball wins
- 124 Slushie Slinger games
- 413 Make Some Noise games
- 413 Shootout Showdown games
"Even Mix" Approach
- 165 Yooyuball wins
- 165 Slushie Slinger games
- 165 Make Some Noise games
- 165 Shootout Showdown games
"Yooyuball-Heavy" Approach
- 266 Yooyuball wins
- 83 Slushie Slinger games
- 275 Make Some Noise games
- 275 Shootout Showdown games
"Less Painful Games" Approach
- 177 Yooyuball wins
- 825 Shootout Showdown games
"I Hate Yooyuball" Approach
- 165 Slushie Slinger games
- 550 Make Some Noise games
- 550 Shootout Showdown games
"I Hate Slushie Slinger" Approach
- 118 Yooyuball wins
- 550 Make Some Noise games
- 550 Shootout Showdown games
"Yooyuball Only" Approach
"Shootout Showdown Only" Approach
- 1,650 Shootout Showdown games
A bit confusingly, once you actually obtain All-Star, your current rank will show as "Rank 20" and the All-Star shield, but your target rank will show as "All-Star", with the Rank 10 shield, no threshold to reach it, and rank requirements to 0. This is just a visual glitch; reaching "Rank 20" is the same as reaching "All-Star" and there is no further rank to achieve.
An example of the visual mess on your stats after achieving All-Star
With addition of a 19th team in 2024, it is not yet clear how many days of play there will be. In previous recent years, there were 22 days of play: 17 days of round robin and 5 days of finals. TNT has not made clear if there will be additional days in either section to accommodate the extra team. However, the rules page does state that the tournament will take place from July 31 through August 31. However, in the past the conclusion of the tournament took place several days after play ended, so we're not yet sure if play will be available this entire time!
Why Rank Matters
Your rank has only one singular purpose, and that is to determine the colour of the trophy that appears on your userlookup after the conclusion of the Altador Cup. (Your team's final ranking determines how ornate the trophy looks.) As an example, here are some samples of last year's trophies:
Rank 16+
top 6 team
middle 6 team
bottom 6 team
Ranks 11-15
top 6 team
middle 6 team
bottom 6 team
Ranks 6-10
top 6 team
middle 6 team
bottom 6 team
Rank 1-5
top 6 team
middle 6 team
bottom 6 team
The cutoffs above are from last year! Although these cutoffs have been the same for the last several years, there is no guarantee that they will be the same in 2024. We will all find out after trophies are awarded after the conclusion of the event!
Although you increase your rank by earning points (which are used to purchase final prizes), rank is not itself tied to any final prizes besides the trophy.
Practice Days
The typical Altador Cup schedule includes four "practice days," which are basically a day off from the Altador Cup. On practice days, you are not able to earn any rank points for your scores, even though you are still able to play the games and even earn Neopoints on your first three score submissions of each game.
Typically, there is one practice day after the first five to six Round Robin matches, a second after the next six Round Robin matches, and two in a row between Round Robin and Finals.
