UPDATE, 6:00 PM NST: The AMA code has been shared! You can redeem it at Grundo's Warehouse.
According to the AMA, this code will only be valid for 72 hours! (We do not know precisely when it will stop working, so we recommend to redeem it by the end of the Neopian day on Friday, November 17th, to be extra safe!)
Redeeming the code will award you the item 25 Recipes for 25 Years. Although it appears to be a book, it is a No-Trade item of category Gift with no interaction options.

The free NC grant will take a long time--possibly hours--to be granted. NC stuff just moves a lot slower, and now 10s of thousands of people are claiming it.

Really, REALLY not a fan of the ongoing trend of off-site events. If I wanted to visit Twitter or Twitch I'd do so. Same with IRL/time sensitive stuff. Like it used to be maybe SDCC where you'd miss some cool exclusive item that you couldn't get by playing online; now it feels like there's something happening every week where if you don't live in the US you're poop outta luck. :/ Maybe I'm just bitter idk

@smaragdeidechse, I don't think they'll go through the trouble of sending every participant a personal code though, so I am hoping this will be a later redeemable thing.
There are multiple fandoms I have that have a tendency to look no further than Planet America for their fanbase, and while you sort of get used to that, it also gets old.
I am happy that I thought to do a quick check before bedtime and not miss out on the 750 NC which wasn't there earlier today yet, though

For some reason the streams do not load in Firefox. Like, when I try to load the stream (be it through twitter, facebook or youtube) it says that my browser cannot play it. Which, it's a video?????

Hard disagree, I think we need to be reminding them when their priorities are in the wrong place. Given the demand for it, I'd be recreating both of them from scratch before even thinking of dedicating resources to reviving the mobile games no one cares about.

@paige7390: Since this isn't a Neocash code, traditionally you are not allowed to redeem it on sides. It's no trade, which makes it a little odd, but I wouldn't risk it by redeeming. Just stick to claiming free NC stuff on sides.

It's the 24th anniversary but Neopets is now 25 years old. Both are correct. For example, if you have 1st wedding anniversary, it means you are already in the second year of your marriage.

@stormmonarch: That’s not how birthdays work. You turn 24 on your 24th birthday, so Neopets is 24. What you’re saying would be like if babies were considered 1 year old when they’re born. We’ll be going into year 25 as of January though, which is part of it, but most of this is “Counting down the 1 year until we’re the big 25”

@neolikepets: No, the norm works differently for human birthday though. For companies, anniversaries and so on, they don't count like human birthday. For example, when a company has their first anniversary, they consider themselves as being in the second year of operation. If a couple is having their first wedding anniversary, they are in their second year of marriage. Neopets is having its 24th anniversary, and that means it is already in its 25th year of operation. That's why both the code and the item refer to 25 instead of 24.

The code and the item are in anticipation of next year's birthday. From the new features: "Happy Birthday Neopians! We're 24 years old today!" The goodie bag and NC Mall goodie bag are also for the 24th birthday.

Nah, it's 24th birthday, and that means Neopets is in its 25th year of operation. It's the same every year. Last year was 23rd birthday and the code has number 24.

@vellen_ -- you are absolutely right, TNT needs to work with DTI! It's an incredible resource! I like the static item previews JN has added to their wardrobe, but DTI lets you see an ensemble so you can see if things work together. Yes, I also wouldn't waste nearly as much RW to buy NC -- or maybe I'd waste more because I'd buy things that can't work together.

I enjoyed hearing (and seeing mac OS ten! ) Learned a few things about Jellyneo! JN has more ppl than neopets. It shows.
Too bad about the only BD talk being about new weapon releases. Don't think we needed an ama for that. They love love love to make weapons, but no fixes to the Dome itself.

@galifan Yeah, if you can get DTI to load it can be useful, but it's almost always down.
JN has a huge role to play in the community beyond clothing and dressing up (although they definitely provide those tools as well). There are so many resources. When the TNT team is frequently using JN as a resource, you know the JN team is doing something right.
