Island Builders Relaunch Beta Signups

As announced with the management change in July, Neopets: Island Builders will be retiring in its current form and be rebooted as a new experience. Today TNT have released a page describing their plans for the 'new' game.
As part of this, TNT are asking for beta testers for the new game. This will be a mobile app like Island Builders available on both Android and iOS devices. Beta testing is slated to begin in October to November. The full release is currently slated for the end of this year. Beta testers will get an exclusive badge to display in the final game.
Incidentally, this update also confirms that the present version of Island Builders is now over. While the game has been largely down for the past few months, this update marks the official end of support as today, September 1st. If you did not already play the game or claim the Neopets.com rewards for doing so, you will be unable to gain them going forward.

I really feel like the answer to that question is the same answer to the question "Will they be willing to continue supporting one of these apps post-release if it doesn't make all the money in the world", which... has been a *tentative* yes in the case of Faerie's Hope? So far???
Hopefully this re-release comes out okay, otherwise RIP to the only modern Neopets mobile title that actually approached feeling like a real game

I never cared much for this game, it was just weird and vague imo, as well as quite glitchy. But I'm curious to see what the reboot will bring. Seems like more of a Steam kind of game to me, but I guess mobile is.. fine.

I'd love to see the game with more city building aspects, personally. My favorite part about the game was actually making your town look semi-nice. All the grindy resource collection was pretty bleh, imo—if they wanna keep that aspect they should make those elements resemble those of idle games that are all the rage nowadays.
Basically, make the game more chill and relaxing. No micromanagement stuff.
