What's Your Passion Jewelry has just dropped their Spring Convention Exclusives! Six Neopets pins (Chomby, Eyrie, Usul, Scorchio, Techo, Flotsam), 1 Petpet pin (Meepit), and a new lanyard are available online from March 24th 12:01 AM EST to April 2nd 11:59 PM EST. These can also be purchased at What's Your Passion's booths at WonderCon (booth 913) from March 24th to 26th and at Megacon Orlando (booth 6006) from March 30th to April 2nd.

All pins and the lanyard come with rare item codes for an exclusive item!

And Upper Deck sent me this email about the trading cards:

Neopets Fans,

We want to let you know that we are working on updating the images for cards and achievements in weeks 2-9. This process can take some time, and we appreciate your patience. We will provide updates as the cards progress through the creation process. We will give you plenty of notice when you can purchase the cards again.

Please note: The Base Set and Baby Paint Brush Variant cards released in Week 1 will be required to redeem for the end of program Paintbrush Achievement cards. To earn these achievements, the cards need to remain on e-Pack®, so be sure to keep them in your collection!

Is there an easy way to check what all the rare item code prizes are from WYP so far? And does everyone get the same item from the same RL item or is it random? I kinda like the Eyrie and the Meepit but some of their older stuff, too. And I was surprised to see they ship worldwide, though I'm afraid to check what it actually costs XD

If it works like the other convention pins, each pin is attached to one item, and everyone will get the same item. So eyrie will have an eyrie themed prize and meepit will give a meepit prize.

@digresser, I was wondering the same thing myself. I would have loved the Faerie doll backpack.... but honestly, that was the only thing I really liked. :/ There were only 9 items when I looked.

I really wish they'd sell Neopets merch *in* actual stores, like BoxLunch or Hot Topic or something. I hate buying everything online all the time.

After the tarot card so called 'rare item code', i.e. WORTHLESS item, I am really hesitant about RIC's any more. I wish we could see what it was up front without all the cloak and dagger. It may just boost their sales. Fear of buying vs. buying informed and with glee. Yes, glee.

I wish they were any other color besides gold, I might contemplate buying something then. All the item code things are fun, they are not terribly priced but, gold and the pink merch, yeah not happening for me lol.
I am all for supporting our game, but I agree with keeping it up front, actual products you get, I spend enough on pixels in this game without buying other offsite pixels!

I hadn't considered that JN would have the code items to preview! It turns out, though, that I made the right decisions about which ones to buy.

I just asked the editorial to make the Tarot Cards into a book/bd item/wearable since the code prize should be just as amazing as the deck itself. I suggest we don't let TNT forget about it. I hope if they know people are bummed about it, they'll change it. It benefits everyone to have desirable code prizes. Giving out junk makes people less likely to buy merch.

Question to JN team. Have you ever considered a data base of only RIC items specifying which item gave which rare item? That would be most useful. I LOVE what you have done with the wishlists, appearing on the item lookup! I am remiss to have not mentioned it before. Or maybe I did. But it bears repeating. Well done.

With links included to which products give what type of codes (not all of them are 1-to-1 like the pins above, some give generic tier codes that have a whole pool of RIC prizes).

Once these new items above go live, we'll update the guide with these as well. (The preview images were provided by What's Your Passion, so the items don't actually exist yet.)
