the xmas vanda is still my favorite, but it's great to see more pet colors based on real animals: barn owls and furbies.

Guessing the Spotted Vandagyre is based on a Spotted Owl (not sure if a specific species, parody_ham would be better with that) and the Toy is of course a Furby! 
Very nice...

If it's based on a real owl it has to be the Great Horned Owl! Which makes sense with the Vanda ears.

NeoSchool? Check the insignia on the gown, this is a graduate from Brightvale University (who for some reason uses the Brightvale Yooyuball team emblem, maybe got a scholarship from them)!

Oh hey, I love the Spotted Owl design. That's absolutely adorable! https://www.allaboutbirds.org/guide/Spotted_Owl/id Here's the little fellow, for folks interested. Spotted Owls lack ear tufts; the Vanda design takes some artistic license with the idea and I'm totally cool with it.
That furby design is sweet as heck, dang. Kudos to TNT.
And I love Stephanie's graduation Vanda design, that looks so nice! <3 (And Brightvale University represent!)

I have to say that the furbie vandagyre is LEGENDARY even if I'd never use that color.
Spotted is cute, but I wish the colors were a bit more blended into each other so that it looked a bit less unnatural. As it stands I don't hate it, but as much as I want to love it I can't picture using it, either.

That Tattletail Vandagyre is absolutely horrifying.. And I'm not a fan of how the stomach looks.
(Also, side question: How far should we take real world stuff into our fictional world of Neopets? Humans are still not allowed on their own, but toys and cultural references are a-okay?)

um.... i thought that was a very poorly done chocolate vanda at first... only to find out that is a very poorly done spotted...
i am not sure how anyone here is commending that look tbh... whether it is supposed to be a spotted owl or barn owl it looks nothing of the sort. yikes.

I have to admit, even as one of the people that suggested spotted=spotted owl, I didn't immediately see it in this, as the resemblance is pretty abstract...but I still really like it!
Disappointed we didn't get the penguin maraquan design so many people wanted, but maybe next year!
