The ACVII sign-ups will be starting in a few weeks. We have speculated some roster changes for this year's game. Let's have a look at the new team line-up.

Starting with Team Shenkuu's favorite Mynci, Foltaggio will be leaving the team to join Altador. Timu will be leaving Team Altador to take his place on Team Shenkuu.

Team Brightvale will be gaining Gordo Gunnels from Roo Island, while sending over "Squeaky" Tressif to the Roo Island Team.

Late one night, you find yourself in front of Jellyneo HQ. Unable to wait for the release of the editorial, you decide to camp outside so you can be the first person to see it.

While searching for that perfect spot, you notice that somebody left the back door open. Not thinking much about the consequences, you decide to sneak in. Stealthily you enter the building and start searching for the editorial room.

At the end of the long hallway you spot it and you smile happily to yourself. Before you can make your way to it, though, you see the door suddenly flying open, and a small shadow runs out of the room and down the hallway. You decide to follow the shadow, which is quite easy as it has left behind a trail of paper on the floor.

The trail of paper leads you to the staff lounge. You are a bit hesitant but curious so you push the door open slightly.

Oh, and if we're wrong and you don't want to see it, you can totally ignore this post. If we're right, we gladly accept candy and small marsupials as bribes for future sneak peeks.

I'm heading home! Let me try to answer everyone before I go:

- The Scorchio icon is a 5th Neopet reminder thingy. If you have a 5th, it goes away. (I think it also goes away if you don't create a 5th after a while, for people who don't want it so they don't have to stare at it all the time? I forget how it works. More will be explained when it launches, I'm sure!)

- My 5th Neopet is not on my user lookup because new Premium isn't launched yet. In our development environment, he's totally there with the rest of my Neopets hanging out. All your Neopets will show up. You don't choose four out of the five.

- You reload SSW results by clicking 'resubmit'. If you hit the reload button in the browser, it reloads the entire page (and resets SSW).

- SSW results don't carry over from page to page. If you have one window open and are SSWing in that bar, it won't show up in your other window.

- I believe they're looking at everything /Neopian/ from Portal that doesn't have a new home yet. I don't know if anything specific is planned right now, but I do know they're researching it all.

I think that's it? I hope I got everything! I apologise if I missed you. I blame Sleepy Eye Syndrome.

Neopets Premium Update #3

Greetings!

We're writing again with a few more updates about the Premium switch, including launch date information and maybe a haiku just because. Please keep reading!

Launch Date

So! We were going to announce the official launch date of May 22nd, but instead it will be a bit later. We know, but hear us out! All the new features are set and ready to go. However, since there are multiple different payment method/subscription combinations that all have slightly different processes, we want to give the tech team more time to work on the data transition. So, instead of mid-May as we originally planned, it will now be early June.
As soon as we know the new date for sure, we'll share it with all of you. We just didn't want mid-May to roll by without letting you know what's up!

Payment Updates

As we noted in previous emails, some of you will need to update and/or confirm your payment information in the new system. We're putting together instructions for each of the different payment methods/subscriptions and will be sending that out a week or so before launch so you'll be prepared when the time comes!

Webmail

This is yet another reminder that Webmail will be closing soon! However, we were able to have the cutoff extended out to May 31st, so you have a few more days to back up your emails and contacts if you're a procrastinator.

After the success of our previews section, the Lenny Wizard is finally ready to reveal a brand new JN department.

The Wardrobe is a place where you can try on clothes, plan outfits, view wearables on different species or colors, and just have fun! You can even save your favorite outfits to use again later.

The shelves located on the right of our wardrobe shop, will take you to the main Wardrobe application, a Tutorial for beginners, and the FAQ in case you have questions. Located on the bottom shelves are the 9 most recently activated wearables added to the database.

Neopets Premium Update - Webmail Service

As a reminder to all Premium members, you will no longer be able to use the Premium Webmail service after May 14th.
(If you have registered or signed up to any services or sites using your Neopets webmail, you will need to change all your account settings for these services. Including any other Neopets accounts you may have registered using the webmail address).

Neopets Premium Update

Hiya!

As we mentioned last week, the new Neopets Premium service will not offer Webmail, so we wanted to send a reminder in case there's anything in your inbox you'd like to save!

Webmail will no longer be available on (or shortly after) May 15th, 2012, and you will no longer have access to your neomail.com email address at that time.

Saving Emails - If you'd like to save any of your emails, please be sure to back them up before then. You can do so by forwarding each message you'd like to save to your new email address. As an alternative method, there is also a link at the top of each email to "View Message Source". You can save that page to your hard drive.

Saving Contacts - You may also want to save any contacts you have stored. To do this, click on the 'Address Book' link at the top of the page, and then on the 'Import/Export' button and follow the steps there. This will save your contact list as a CSV file, which can be imported into a number of other email applications.

Set Up a New Address - Lastly, be sure to notify your family and friends of your new email address before Webmail shuts down! Otherwise, they'll think you're ignoring them and get upset and tell your cousin what a louse you are, who will tell your sister and then your sister will be mad at you for weeks and you'll have to find someone else weird enough to want your Mutant Tuskaninny and... *cough*. Sorry. Anyway, you get the idea.

So don't forget, back up your content by May 14th at the latest to be safe! If you have any questions about this or the new Premium service, the Premium FAQ has more information and is being updated regularly.

Greetings, Premium members!

We're writing you lovely folks to (finally!) update you on the new Neopets Premium service and provide more information, as promised. Some of this has been in the FAQs and some of it is new, but we wanted to consolidate everything for you in one handy email! Apologies if you've heard some of this before.

This email contains the list of what's changing as well as information pertinent to your specific payment plan and what you can expect during the transition period. We hope this will help answer some of the questions you have, and we'll continue to update you as we get closer to launch. *nod*

The Switch

In mid-May, the Premium service itself will switch over to a new system run entirely by the Neopets Team. This means that all of Billing and Premium Support will be through us, and that we'll be able to offer some new features based on all the input and feedback we received from you over the past few months. However, this also means a few of the services you may have now will be going away. As a reminder - or in case you haven't heard - keep reading below to find out what's new and what's changing!

What's New?

You may remember a few surveys we did some months back where we asked for your feedback on a number of Premium questions. Based on your responses and the feedback we've received from you over the years, we'll also be adding the following new features once the switch has been made (more information on each to come soon!):

Everything else is staying! Super Shop Wizard, no ads, random events, Premium message boards, collectable cards, Space Faerie Charm, etc. - they won't be going anywhere.

To help with a smooth transition, Neopets will extend your membership until June 30th. During this time period, you'll still have access to your Premium account and will be able to update your payment information. If you do not choose to update your payment information, your Premium membership will end on June 30th.

As an added bonus! After the switch over, if you update your payment information in Neopets system by May 31st, we will give you an extra 30 days FREE.

More information will be provided in a follow-up email in the next few weeks so you can take action.

Thanks to ava_ked, we know part of the solution. You will need to have Usuki items in your inventory, and refresh. (unknown if it is a certain item, or random).

Thanks to Spenetic, the solution may be having 50 unique Usukis in your inventory.

Festival of Neggs - Mysterious Negg Quest

The Mysterious Negg Quest has started today. Not much can be done at this time. You can visit Zaira at the The Negg Faerie Assistant's Alcove and learn about the Negg Protection League. A logic puzzle will follow, but is not active yet. You will need to pay attention to the clues given in order so solve the logic puzzle.

The team is looking for a location to hide the Clockwork Negg. But to throw off anyone who would be trying to take the relic negg; they are sending out a team member to different locations in Neopia to hide decoy neggs. Figure out which team member will be taking each decoy negg, to each location below.

We have added a puzzle grid to make it easier to keep track of the answers.

- Comment/Hint Policy -
You are allowed to give hints, but keep them vague and not overly obvious. We ask that you do not give out solutions to puzzles or Negg locations. This means you're not allowed to tell someone exact answers, exactly what to search for, exact Negg places, etc. We reserve the right to disqualify those who break this rule.

Please do not post things like "Is this person's Negg located in this article?" or "Does this person's clue lead to a Negg or a red herring?" We will not be giving you the answer, and neither should anyone else. It is up to you to figure out.

Comments will be cleared from time to time, so those seeking help don't have to scroll down a billion miles to the bottom. :)

You keep playing, we'll keep making them!
Once again, it's that time of year - springtime! With spring time comes our traditional Negg Hunt. Or at least, that's what was supposed to happen. This year, a mysterious character known as the Neggative Faerie has been running around Jellyneo causing all sorts of trouble. On top of that, she's stolen the neggs our staff members hid, and transformed them into "negs" (they're like neggs but negative). We'd be ever so pleased if you could find them for us. If you find them all, we might even give you a trophy when this is all over.

- What is a Negg Hunt? -
Exactly what it sounds like--your ultimate goal is to find twelve Neggs that have been hidden throughout Jellyneo. However, before you can search for or even see a hidden Negg, you must have a clue, and clues are obtained by solving puzzles in special Flash portals that have been set up. Still interested? Just follow our handy "Getting Started" section!

- Getting Started -
You will need a jnAccount to participate, so if you don't have one, register now! Once you've registered and validated, or if you already have your jnAccount handy, simply log in and on your Services Portal, add the "Negg Hunt 2012 [SITE EVENT]" service.

Now it's time to find the portals. They won't be more than two clicks away from the Jellyneo front page and they can appear at the bottom. They'll be easy to spot: a graphic like the one below will appear, and clicking it will transport you to the Flash areas.

The Jellyneo Negg Hunt ends at 11:59pm NST on Monday, April 16th.

April Fools Cleanup! As a part of the Neopets April fools pranks, any pet zapped by the lab ray yesterday was not really zapped at all! If you have an Unconverted Pet that was prank zapped, and it still shows the wrong image on your profile, you will need to customize your pet, and save. This will update the saved pet image on your userlookup.
