Astronomy Club
  • Posted by Terry
  • Posted on March 24, 2006, 6:57 pm NST

Well, the Astronomy Club is now open! You should first go to the Altadorian Archives. You should then click on the image of a telescope on the bulletin board to see the poster for the Astronomy Club. After you have done that, there should be a button below saying "Join the Astronomy Club!" Hit that button. You will then get a E-Z See Telescope.

E-Z See Telescope
Then you should go to the Hall of Heroes. Click on the stairs leading to the Astronomy Club headquarters. Then click on the telescope in the middle of the image. After you have done that, you should get to a page that starts out saying "Setting up telescope..."Meanwhile... After you have joined the club, the janitor in the Hall of Heroes says "Hm, so you joined an Astronomy Club, eh? That sounds like fun. I wish I had the time to join a club." with no other button. The archivist also says "Ah, I see you've joined the Astronomy Club. Is there more excitement to be found than in observing the heavens, and mapping the intricate patterns of the cosmos?"After joining the Astronomy Club, you are not allowed to join the other clubs as far as we know. "Oh dear! It seems that by joining the Astronomy Club, you've upset the Quiggle, and he refuses to let you join his club!"This newspost will be updated as we find more information. :tongue:Update: Our Walkthrough and Super-Quick Walkthrough have now been updated with this new information.A guide to making your very own starmap is now also available!Note:Comments are being cleared when they hit a large number so people don't need to scroll down a long time just to reply.

The Restive Tomb -- Plot Part 3
  • Posted by Terry
  • Posted on March 27, 2006, 6:17 pm NST

Well, it seems like TNT did a new map update! There seems to be a new tomb out called the Restive Tomb!
This tomb stands silent and grave, watching over Altador from high atop a cliff.
Clicking the diagonal lines on the door highlights them.
How strange. There seems to be some kind of pattern in the stonework on the front of the tomb doors. What could it mean? You should then go to the Lenny Archivist.
The archivist says, "A pattern of two lines, on the front of that old tomb? How intriguing. I wonder what it could refer to? Perhaps there is a matching pair of lines somewhere to be found."You should then return to your telescope and attempt to find that constellation. Connect the dots as they appear there, and you will have found The Sleeper. You can then return to the Book of Ages to read a new chapter.Edit: By following our updated walkthrough, you will also be able to connect up your first Constellation, The Sleeper.
A new chapter has also been added to the Book of Ages. This post will be updated as soon as we get more information!

Look At The Clouds!
  • Posted by Terry
  • Posted on March 29, 2006, 5:05 pm NST

Look at the clouds, it's a bird, it's a plane! ;o
Edit: Here's the link to the clouds!Well, not really. If you click on the second cloud hole, you can see the next constellation!
When you've clicked on the right spot, you get the following message."The gaps between the clouds seem to have formed themselves into an odd pattern."You should then go to the Lenny Archivist and talk to him!"The archivist says, "Another pattern, floating in the clouds? What wonders you find! Perhaps it corresponds to another constellation. Off to the observatory with you!""You can then start mapping your stars... AGAIN!You should go here to find your points. Then, you should go here and paste in your points to make a map but with all of your points on it!You can go back to the Book of Ages and read a new chapter on Pseilla, The Dreamer! Also if you go to the Janitor after you've found your constellation, he says..."The janitor says, "Those lights above each statue sure are pretty when they light up. I wonder what they mean?" He shakes his head. "Oh well, too much cleaning to do, no time to figure it out.""Update: Our Day 4 Walkthrough and Super-Quick Walkthrough have now been updated.Note: If you can't find your Sleeper, we have a template for you to use on our Forums! It's in Plot Discussion - Topic #2 located in the Altador Plot forum. You need to be a member in order to read the topics.Note from Dave: I'm tired of answering plot emails. Please. For the sanity of myself, ask any plot related questions in our forums.

Neocharge

  • Posted on March 31, 2006, 7:03 pm NST

Well, here's the April Fool's Joke by TNT. Well, hopefully it is.

NeoCharge!

New Feature! - Most of you may have already noticed the nifty new window to the right! (If you use a theme, don't worry! It will be available in all themes early next week.) This will help us fight inflation and help reduce stress on our servers, both of which will help make Neopets more fun for everyone. :) You can click here for more information! If you find any bugs, glitches or problems, please let us know!"

This seems to be a joke because of this:

What if I don't or can't pay?

You will need to pay within a week of your last payment, or before accumulating charges in the amount of 50,000 NP (whichever comes first).

If you are unable to pay your bill, your account will be flagged for review and a support staff member will be required to investigate. The support staff must first judge whether your account possesses sufficient assets to cover your accrued debt. If so, the support staff will then take necessary action to compensate for your unpaid debt which could result in one or more of the following:

- Item(s) removed from the account
- Your Neopet(s) put up for adoption
- Access to certain parts of the site being restricted
- Twice as many ads that you have now (if you are a premium member, yes, you will start seeing ads again)
- Any painted Neopets will be returned to a normal colour

So please, be sure to pay on time before any of this happens to you.

It doesn't seem like TNT would ever do this, but you never know!

First to Rise -- Plot Part Three!
  • Posted by Terry
  • Posted on March 31, 2006, 7:19 pm NST

Well, Part Three of the Altador Plot is out!Clarification: You are looking for First to Rise's constellation. You are going through Sasha's constellation.First, you should go to The Restive Tomb. This is for WINDOWS users only. If this doesn't work, skip DOWN to the pixel method.Highlight the banner there and hit Tab THREE times. Then hit enter. This is for BOTH Windows AND Mac users.
Click on the pixel at (0,298) (1,299). It's near the bottom corner.
"You turn around and see a breathtaking view of Altador. The sun, low on the horizon, seems to be shining through the tower of the Hall of Heroes."
Then return to the Hall of Heroes and click on Sasha, The Dancer. At Sasha, the Dancer's page, click on the window. You will then be brought to a new page.On the image, click on the circles that have light shining on them.
The spots of sunlight seem to be forming some kind of pattern on the road...
You should then go and head to the Lenny Archivist and then Get Your Coordinates. Then plot them on a star chart. Then return to your Telescope and find the points! When you're done, go back to the Lenny Archivist."The archivist says, "Ah, Siyana. The First to Rise, as she is called. How fitting that her constellation should be revealed by the rising sun." He chuckles. "I'm afraid I haven't much more to tell you about why this is all happening, though perhaps we can learn from what I haven't found. You see, I've gone through the entire archives twice -- and I can't find a single history book. I can't fathom there being thieves in Altador interested solely in history books, though..." He shakes his head. "But I'll keep looking, and see what I can find."The archivist clears his throat. "Oh, by the way, if you want to see all your previous clues collected into one place, I've made up a list for you here."When you return to the Astronomy Club, you get this:""The Astronomy Club members once again cheer as you enter the room. The president walks up, a smile plastered across his face. "Gosh, it's really great how you're finding all these constellations so fast. I really wish I knew how you did it." The smile is not in his eyes, though.Nevertheless, he withdraws a small item from his robes. "Well, uh, anyway... I suppose you should have this, now that you're obviously a full-fledged astronomer.""
