Battleground Of The Obelisk

In the wake of the War for the Obelisk, Neopia once again found itself divided amongst the various factions who once vied for its power. In a recurring site event, the six factions continued to do battle on a regular basis. Upon winning, the Oracle awards prizes to the winning faction.

WAR BREAKS OUT IN:

Skirmishes

After the initial war was over, users could partake in smaller battles that occurred on a fortnightly basis. Each time there would be three factions involved; you choose with whom your allegiance lies and then battle members of the other two factions (each comprising of six opponents of varying difficulty).

Sign Ups

Head on over to the battleground every other Monday to enlist yourself among the brave warriors. You have three days to sign up to your team of choice.

Battling

The fighting kicks off on the Thursday following sign ups and continues for four days. Your faction leader will help you keep track of your battles during each skirmish. In order to qualify as having helped your faction, you have to take part in at least 10 battles. You can find a list of all the challengers on this page of our In-Depth Battlepedia.

Boons

If you allied yourself with the victorious side during one of the skirmishes then you were rewarded with your choice of boon, or "perk", to enhance the site for the duration of the week-long truce. It would appear that each faction has its own list of priorities, as not all boons are available for every faction.

The Awakened boons are randomized; different boons may appear on different weeks. The only thing joining the Awakened guarantees you is the promise of cake. The Premium boons, however, remain predictable and consistent. The Awakened, like all the factions, always grant Premium supporters the two Premium boons, Full Pockets and Premium Dreamium. Unlike the other factions, the Awakened do not have a predictable set of (non-Premium) boons from which to choose. The Oracle might select any five of the non-Premium boons as your choices. We're reflecting this with the grey checkmark ().
