Abbreviation for "Altadorian Wig With Golden Ribbon". An item that can be worn on your Neopet's head, won from an Altador Cup Neocash event.

Example Usage:

(1) A section of the Neoboards, Neopets.com's chatting area. Different boards are themed around different subjects.
(2) An individual thread on the Neoboards.

Note: "Boards", plural, is an abbreviation for "Neoboards" and refers to the entire chat system in general.

Example Usage:

(1) "Sorry, I don't think anyone here knows much about Neocash trading values. Maybe you should try the NC Mall board?"
(2) "You already made a board on this topic. Why are you trying to start a new one?"

Cookie Grabber

Cookie Grabber

['kʊkiː 'gɹæbəɹ] - noun

A special type of script, hidden in a webpage, that tricks your computer into sending its "cookies", or stored website data, to an outside source. Web pages with cookie grabbers are often set up by malicious users who want to be able to access others' accounts, and are frequently disguised as giveaways or pages of "secrets".

Example Usage:

"He sent me a link to an offsite web page that he said was a special Neocash giveaway, but I was worried it might be a cookie grabber so I didn't click it."

Custom

['kʌstəm] - noun

(1) A Neopet created for another player as a gift or part of a trade, of the species and colour of the recipient's choosing. A '____k custom' specifies the amount of Neopoints the creator is willing to spend on painting the pet.
(2) An offer to spend a specified amount of Neocash on a selection of NC Mall items of the recipient's choice.

Example Usage:

(1) "She offered me a 1mil custom, and as luck would have it, Faerie Paint Brushes were exactly 1mil... so now I have a Faerie Bori!"
(2) "I can offer you a 500NC custom for that, if you'd rather."

1) Abbreviation of "Fan Clubs". A Neoboard where a lot of casual chatter goes on.

2) Abbreviation of "Food Club". A popular betting game based on the eating habits of various Krawk Island denizens.

3) Abbreviation of "Fortune Cookie". An item bought from the NC Mall which gives gifts or special bonuses when opened.

Example Usage:

(1) "There aren't any Neoboards in my language, so people who speak it tend to get together on a special thread we make every day on the FC."
(2) "What FC bets did you place today?"
(3) "I wish I had enough Neocash for another Faerie Quest FC."

Abbreviation for "Gift Box (Mystery) Capsule". A Mystery Capsule from the NC Mall that, as well as clothing or furniture for your pet, contains a gift box so you can send the items to your friends.

Example Usage:

"I live in a country where you can't buy Neocash Cards, so I have to get my gift boxes from GB caps."

A special item that is required to send items bought from the NC Mall to other accounts. Currently, there is no way to buy gift boxes; they can be acquired by redeeming a Neocash Card, or given out in special events.

Example Usage:

"I want to send this dress to my sister, but I haven't got any spare gift boxes at the moment."

Abbreviation for "Gingerbread Wings". A wearable set of wings that was available from a Neocash Mystery Capsule.

A special greeting that can be purchased with Neocash at the NC Mall. It will be delivered to the user of your choice along with a special-edition Neocash item. Grams are only available on a few special occasions.

Abbreviation for "Gulp... Underwater Reef Background", a wearable piece of scenery featuring a seabed, which was available from a Neocash Mystery Capsule.

(1) A collection of user shops whose owners all link to one another, organised so that their contents do not overlap. For instance, one shop might have only toys, another only grooming items, and so on for many different categories.
(2) An abbreviation for "NC Mall". The place where Neocash can be spent on pet clothes and furniture.

Example Usage:

(1) "I wonder if my shop would get more customers if I was part of a mall?"
(2) "Have you seen the new dress that's on sale in the Mall?"

Abbreviation of "Neocash". A virtual currency used in Neopia. Unlike Neopoints, Neocash is purchased with real-world money and is used in the NC Mall. (Previously, it was also used in other Nickelodeon games like Monkey Quest and Petpet Park.)

Example Usage:

"Oh, why did they have to release so many pretty items this week? I'm going to end up buying more NC!"

An item that can be bought with Neocash. Owning one allows a user to post longer messages on the Neoboards, and to easily switch between using different fonts and avatars.

Neocash

[niːoʊkæʃ] - noun

A virtual currency used in Neopia. Unlike Neopoints, Neocash is purchased with real-world money and is used in the NC Mall. It is commonly abbreviated to NC. Neocash was also known as Nickcash on sites such as Petpet Park and Monkey Quest, which used the Neocash currency in the past.

Example Usage:

"This background cost me 200 Neocash, but it's worth it!"

Neocash Card

Neocash Card

['niːoʊkaʃ kaːd] - noun

A special ticket which can be bought in real life at certain shopping chains, then redeemed on Neopets by entering the code printed on the card. Once the card is successfully redeemed, the owner will receive a sum of Neocash (which can be used at the NC Mall) and one or more gift boxes.

Example Usage:

"Did you hear? They're finally selling Neocash Cards in this country! I'll have to check my local supermarket."

(1) An abbreviation for "Nickelodeon Game Card". Another term for a Neocash Card.
(2) An abbreviation for "New Game Challenge". An event to mark the release of a new Flash game, where players are invited to beat certain high scores.

Example Usage:

(1) "Have any of the shops where you are started selling the new types of NGC yet?"
(2) "I won this hat for beating the NGC!"

A number that indicates how often, and by what methods, an item is released into Neopia. Items with lower numbers will appear in the main Neopian shops more often. Note that a very high rarity number does not necessarily indicate a high-priced or in-demand item; free omelettes have rarity numbers in the 110s, and all Neocash items are r500.

Example Usage:

"The Wheel of Extravagance has a chance of giving you a prize with a rarity of 100!"

A reference to the Neopets Team's responsibility not to introduce any new Neocash or Premium perk that will enable paying customers to be noticeably more successful in the main areas of Neopian life. While this is not an actual rule written down anywhere, most players perceive it as something that the Neopets Team will and should hold to.

Example Usage:

"I'd love to see a Neocash item that let you only see rare items in the shops, but I guess that would break Significant Advantage, so they'd never introduce it."
