We are collecting data for this area on Neopets!
Have you turned in a map? We are trying to determine the prize pool for each map set below. If you have turned in a map recently, or plan to...
Across the lands of Neopia lie buried treasures and hidden locations, long forgotten but not quite lost. If you have the skills and resources to seek them out, you just might be able to assemble the scattered pieces of treasure maps pointing to these places... but will what you find be worth the risk?
Let the hunt begin!
How to Play
While Treasure Maps is part of the Games Room, it isn't a game in the traditional sense. Unlike other games on the site, to "play" you must collect a set of items (maps, usually purchased from other users), which you can then redeem for Neopoints, items, and other special prizes on the Treasure Maps page.
Locating individual map pieces can be somewhat difficult, however, due to the fact that all pieces of a given map will have the same item name. The Original Map, for example, is made up of nine items, each called Piece of a treasure map. If you're having trouble finding a specific piece, instead find a user selling other pieces of the same map for a reasonable price; they will often have several different pieces of that map available.
You can click on any of the map pieces found in this guide to view them in the Item Database.
These treasure maps are widely available, and almost any piece can be bought from other users at any time. They are most commonly distributed through Random Events, but are also available as Quest rewards and Key Quest prizes.
Upon being turned in, the Spooky Map will award nine Spooky Food items with rarities up to 92, and approximately 10,000 NP.
These maps are available through the same means as other active treasure maps, but can only be collected and turned in once on each account, at which time they will disappear. Unlike the other maps, they also grant access to exclusive areas of the site, each with unique features and an associated avatar.
Secret Laboratory Map
Upon being turned in, the Secret Laboratory Map will award up to 15,000 NP and grant access to the Secret Laboratory. Visit our Lab Ray guide for more information.
|To get this avatar, you must have your pet's species changed via the Lab Ray.|
Petpet Laboratory Map
Upon being turned in, the Petpet Laboratory Map will award up to 20,000 NP and grant access to the Secret Petpet Laboratory. Bear in mind that as this area is located within the Secret Laboratory, you need to have turned in a full Secret Laboratory Map to access it. Visit our Petpet Lab Ray guide for more information.

|Random when collecting a daily prize at the Forgotten Shore.|
While these maps can still be turned in for prizes, the individual pieces are retired and no longer given out by the site. If you do manage to collect all the pieces of one of these maps and turn them in, let us know what you receive as a reward!
Upon being turned in, the Underwater Map will award several Aquatic Food items, and approximately 10,000 NP. It is also rumored to increase the levels of all of your pets by one; if you have information on this, please let us know!
Upon being turned in, the Space Map will award various items with rarities up to 99, and up to 10,000 NP. It is also rumored to increase the levels of all of your pets by one; if you have information on this, please let us know!

Benjamin the Chia may know where your next clue is...
In the past, Treasure Maps was paired with another game, known as Treasure Hunt. In this game, a mysterious Shoyru would give you clues leading to various locations in Neopia, with the clues becoming more cryptic (and even scrambled) as you progressed. Eventually, one of the clues would lead you to a treasure map piece, which could be used in Treasure Maps.
