Plot Coverage: The Faeries' Ruin

Step 5 - The Battle of Brightvale

(You can no longer do this step.)
October 25th, 11:30am NST: At last, the flood of enemies has ground to a halt. Thousands of brave Neopian heroes put themselves in harm's way, at great cost to life and limb, but the spectres finally seem to have met their match and withdrawn from Brightvale.

Head over to the battle page for battle updates and overall stats, then head to the Battledome.

Your Goal For This Step

Defeat as many enemies as possible! If you're new to the Battledome, see the next section ("Quick Introduction To The Battledome").

With the exception of Punchbag Bob, all regular one-player challengers (such as The Pant Devil, Meuka, etc.) are gone. Instead, you'll be able to fight plot enemies! Woohoo!

Enemies are released in batches, so if it says "none left in Neopia," you'll have to refresh and wait until more are available.

Quick Introduction To The Battledome

On Neopets, there are items classified as Battledome items. Examples of these are the Honey Potion, Dung Catapult, and Downsize! You can equip these to your pet by going to your inventory, clicking on the item, and selecting "Equip to [PET NAME]." You can equip a maximum of 8 items.

Items can be weapons, healers, defence, or all three. They can be one-use or multiple use. Different weapons do different icons of damage. These are the different types of icons:

(From left to right: air, dark, earth, fire, light, physical, water)

Ideally, good weapons will attack with a large amount of icons as well as a variety of icons. Types such as air and light are harder for your opponent to defend against, but for one-player, this doesn't matter as much. The amount of damage you do depends on your weapon(s), your pet's strength stat, and your attack stance. If you use bottled faeries on your pet, they'll gain abilities and these can be made available in a fight by going to the abilities page. You can activate a maximum of seven abilities to use in the Battledome; the level of the ability does not matter so don't worry about that.

Equipped your weapons? Got some abilities? O-kay, now you're ready to head to the Battledome, select a one-player challenger, and begin the fight! Each turn, you can select up to two weapons to use and an ability/special attack. Abilities will deplete some of your power bar and once you're at 0%, they're no longer effective. Fierce Attack is a good stance to use and does not consume power (once your pet is level 50+, you get Berserk Attack, which is even better), but it also means you're more vulnerable to damage from your opponent, so use wisely!

Tips
  • Train your pets at the Swashbuckling Academy or Training School. Endurance (hit points), level, and strength are especially important.
  • For detailed Battledome item information, visit our affiliate, the In-Depth Battlepedia.
  • To withdraw your pet from a fight, go to the Battledome and click on the "Status" link.
  • Heal your pets by using healing potions (the Healing Springs is giving out free ones if you click "Heal my Pets").
