The Infamous Lutari Talisman
  • Posted by Dave
  • Posted on July 5, 2006, 8:49 pm NST

We've been collecting information over the past few days about the widely talked about Lutari Talisman. So here's the skidly-didly:

Along with Lutari Island being available on cell phones, an online referral program for the new service has emerged. By referring friends, you can get beads to attach to a talisman, which in turn brings either great luck... or a certain doom. You can view your talisman by clicking here.

The Beads
The beads are the main part of the Talisman in which you add. Current methods of receiving beads are by referring friends to Neopets Mobile, and by downloading and playing the mobile game. Here are some of the beads (there are 20):

Of the 20 beads, there are 4 colors and 5 types. The five types are named: Oranu, Matu, Ranaka, Urapa, & Tongi.

The Talisman
Once assembled, the Talisman apparently brings "good luck." So far, the only reported luck is that it acts like the Premium Space Faerie Charm, randomly increasing your game scores and NP output. You can also receive small discounts when purchasing items from an official Neopian shop. It's also rumored to increase random events. If anyone has some more information, please send a screenshot as proof to my email, dave[at]jellyneo.net.

Signing Up
If you are interested in signing up for Neopets Mobile (it costs $2.99 a month), click the button below. The referral link is connected to JN's official donation account, so any signup credits/prizes will go to JN. :) We aren't sure if you can take the beads off your talisman for getting a referral, but if they do, we'll be sure to give some out. :D

Something is happening...

The new features on Neopets reports this:
There have been reports of some strange events happening around Happy Valley and Terror Mountain. Maybe you should head over there to see what's going on!

So far, the only unusual thing is that there is an Advent Calendar animation! Unfortunately, there's no prize to be taken!
